What a night! Yesterday we had dinner at Le Ti’Chasne and it was amazing. The energy and passion for pure honest ingredients in this restaurant is perfect.
On arrival the chef come to our table to explain the menu of the day.
We had an tartin with vegetables and the lentils as starters, great simple dishes but with a personal twist from the chef. She traveled a lot and you could taste that in the food. Still very good balanced and subtle.
As mains we had beef stroganoff and caribian/Thai fish. Same thing well balanced but with a personal touch. Great ingredients en perfectly cooked.
The chef puts her believes, passion, ambition and love in the dish and that’s what you taste.
Finished the evening with talks at the bar with the owners/chef could have stayed there all night.
Then the price.. We had un apéritif, a bottle of Sancerre blanc and starter main and deserts. 56 euro in total. Probably the best food I ever had for 56 euro for 2 persons in Europe for a very long time. You get amazing food for what I think a great price.
We where staying at Donzy Le Bretonnière and it was a 20 minute drive we followed small routes thru the country side didn’t now what to expect and we found this little gem of a restaurant. Would drive more then a hour if needed.

Read moreExcellent food. I had the tart with caramelised onionns, tomatie and goat cheese with an arugula salad. The flavors were well balanced and the dish was light yet satisfying. The main course was a white fish in a light saffron cream sauce. Thiis was delicately seasoned with lemon grass, saffron and corriander. We had the chocolate cake with a lightly coconut scented house made whipped cream which was sublime. The second dessert was an apple verrine with chuncks of marinated apples and a cookie crumble topped with whipped cream. It was very light and a perfect finish to the meal. We organized a hike in the Foret de Bretranges in the morning which is 15 minutes from the restaurant. This is a great dstination for an excellent dining experience.
Note: It is a small restaurant and the menu is limited but everything was excellent.
Service. Our server was new but charminhg and did...
Read moreWe got hungry on the road, saw the board indicating Le Ti'Chasne, just took the chance... and left there as 2 happy travellers! No reservation made, but yet were served a beautiful lunch: tartelette au légumes /velouté de champignons (with proper girolles in it !) + filet mignon with grilled vegetables and mash! Twice a beautifully dressed plate! After all this a coffee was enough, but as a dessert is included in the menu we got 2 portions of tarte au chocolat for on the road... Je crois qu'une fée se cache dans la...
