Absolutely love this hotel restaurant in the stunning old village of Mirmande - excellent stopover on the way to the South of France, or a quick drive from Lyon or Geneva for a great weekend getaway.
We chose the Junior Suite this time and found it spacious and charmingly decorated with a lovely modern bathroom with oval bath and large shower. It is always such a special treat to spend the night in a building with such soul in its old walls.
The dinner was excellent - I never eat ceviche and this time I stole my husbands order because the mixture of citrus and avocado and the accompanying mango ice cream made me forget I was eating raw fish. The menu is small, so you know everything is extra fresh, yet there is enough choice for all palates. We both chose something different and shared for maximum discovery. Each dish was very refined and creative, a wonderful surprise of complimenting textures and tastes. Presentation and decoration of each plate beautifully detailed with fresh herbs and flowers from their hanging herbal garden just outside the kitchen.

After having huge bad luck with the car, these people were absolutely what we needed.
We called at 7pm at night because we couldn't find anywhere to sleep after we still couldn't get a replacement car from the insurance company. The hotel's hostess was extremely quick to switch gears and made our experience unforgettable. From a low point to one of our finest experience ever in a hotel. All the staff were immensely helpful, from helping carry our luggage to the perfect welcome at the hotel itself. We enjoyed a blissful refreshment in our fine room and were immediately allowed to take a seat on their breathtaking terrace by the restaurant. The spot on the mountain overlooks a beautiful valley, a picturesque church and the beautiful mountains of De Ardesch. We were allowed to taste delicious champagne, fine wine from the region and an outstanding menu worked out to perfection. After a great dinner, we took a wonderful evening walk in this beautiful village and enjoyed a perfect night's sleep in their chilled, relaxing rooms. The icing on the cake was their wonderfully extensive breakfast with again plenty of local produce and their enduring generosity and hospitality. They called a taxi for our trip to the replacement car and helped us every step of the way. In short, an experience never to be forgotten. The hostess and wonderful staff of this hotel are a gift from heaven. Thank you so much for all your love and hospitality!
