SOWETO — Restaurant in District of Dax

Don't bother eating here- rude staff, expensive and mediocre food and over priced. When I ordered the server forgot to give me a buzzer. When I went to ask about our order after sometime she told me that someone probably took the buzzer off the counter instead of me. Then she had lost our ticket. She said she would put the food through immediately and tell me when it was ready. Some time later I went back to check and she told me that the food was put on the counter but someone had obviously stolen it! It still took sometime to make the food, which when it came out (prawn curry and rice) it had obviously just been reheated and not made fresh so not sure what had taken so long anyway! The man clearing the tables was incredibly rude. I had sat my two young children on a table with our beach things besides them whilst I went to order. There were dirty plates on the table but I assumed they would be cleared so we could use the table. When I went to the table he told us we couldn't sit on the table because it needed clearing. Rather than doing this while we were sat there he told us to move to another table. I asked if we could wait for the table and he rudely said, no, you must move. I had to then move both my young children and our stuff to another table and it literally took him two minutes to clear the table.

Very strange behaviour from staff and very poor service. Felt like we were an inconvenience to them. The food wasn't cheap and I definitely wouldn't recommend going. Get in your car or on your bike and find...

I didn't like it, if you are attracted by the appearance of this place and its easy location, it is false. It is better to move on and find a better place with good service and better food. Our friends were waiting for about 40 minutes for their food, it was delicious, but their sound system was not working, even when the food was ready, they were notified very late.

Your apologies are awful, meaning that if my husband pays for me, it's assumed that I haven't eaten here and can't write my impressions? The position of your restaurant is very clear. If you have a constructive remark about waiting time, a non-working notification system, differences in the menu and in the food you serve, you see "anger" at someone, I am very sorry. In addition, I did not forget the water in your establishment. It is sad that you are proud of such service. Thank you for your comprehension. We ordered Vegan burgers, the menu says soy steak, but they put potato steak without warning. Such a price does not correspond to the quality, the staff is friendly, the food is not bad, but such moments really spoil...

CAMARERA IMPRESENTABLE

Estuvimos un par de dias en Capbreton y tras pasar una tarde de playa nos acercamos al local. El sitio es precioso, muy chulo decorado y con el suelo de arena, un gran ambiente para rematar un día de playa. Nos sentamos en una mesa y nos pedimos unas cervezas, Estabamos tan a gusto que repetimos ronda y en ese rato decidimos quedarnos a cenar algo al ver que la carta era variada. Tras mirar lo que íbamos a pedir uno de nosotros en un intento de hablar francés (NINGUNO LO HABLAMOS) avisamos a la camarera y chapurreando pedimos lo que queríamos. Cual fue nuestra sorpresa cuando al terminar de decir los platos se nos queda mirando y en alto empieza a decir: hola! Hola!!Hola! gracias” por favor! Gracias, españoles, hola!! Españoles!!

Nos quedamos mirándonos unos a otros con cara de sorpresa y lógicamente comentamos entre nosotros que nos acababa de llamar maleducados….hemos viajado mucho y nunca nos había pasado una cosa parecida, siempre se han pedido las cosas y dado las gracias por favor, etc, lo normal vamos!!!!….y puede que esta vez al intentar hablar en francés nos faltara algun formalismo pero nunca intencionado ni mucho menos y mas aún estando fuera de tu país..

Seguimos comentando la jugada y por supuesto en un primer momento pensamos en irnos, pero tras sopesarlo decidimos no darle el gusto a la camarera en cuestión pues el sito era muy chulo y continuar allí como si nada.

La sorpresa final viene cuando tras 15/20 minutos de espera se nos acerca otro camarero y ya en INGLES nos dice que ha habido un problema a la hora de pedir nuestra comida y que no tenemos nada encargado. Lógicamente le comentamos el problema que habíamos tenido con la camarera y que era obvio que ella había hecho a propósito lo de no encargar nada. Nos quisieron invitar a la ultima ronda que estábamos tomando a lo que insistimos que de ninguna manera y que avisaran por favor al JEFE o ENCARGADO. Tras varios minutos disculpándose el camarero y dándonos largas para avisar al encargado pagamos las consumiciones y abandonamos el local muy cabreados y sin cena….

Solo espero que haya sido algo puntual y que no le pase a nadie mas pues nos quedo claro que la chica en cuestión algo tiene en contra de los españoles por no mencionar su falta de PROFESIONALIDAD, aún no habiéndole pedido nosotros por favor la cena en francés no es motivo para tratarnos asi cuando al chico le pedimos disculpas por el idioma y si había sido el caso de su enfado y por supuesto no es ni medio normal la maniobra que orquestó como venganza contra nosotros….seguro que a su jefe no le hará mucha gracias que estos episodios se repitan cada poco pues estamos seguros al 110% que esto no es la primera vez que pasa….ni por supuesto será la ultima….él sabrá….

Nuestro unica anecdota negativa en un viaje por las Landas que fue espectacular y donde en el resto de sitios he de decir que nos trataron...
