Restaurant Au Clocher — Restaurant in Dunkirk

First visit to charming Bourbourg, and therefore of course our first visit Au Clocher. Food was wonderful throughout, the chef's suggestion being particularly inspired. Service was perfect: attentive without being obtrusive, polite to two English people occasionally struggling with the language, and absolutely not rushed. Sommelier was excellent, giving a perfect recommendation for our food choice (but also being very tolerant of one of us who decided to go in a very different direction). And the atmosphere was a delight - a wonderful room with a quirky touch or two (the wine bike!) filled on a Tuesday lunchtime after the market with convivial groups enjoying the food and each other's company. I would and will recommend Au Clocher to anyone taking the channel crossing to Dunkirk (or indeed Calais etc!) Many thanks...

Nous avons passé un moment absolument délicieux auclocher !. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec un sourire et une grande chaleur, ce qui a tout de suite mis l'ambiance. Le cadre est à la fois élégant et chaleureux, parfait pour une soirée en amoureux ou entre amis. ​Mais le vrai point fort, c'est la cuisine. Chaque plat que nous avons goûté était une véritable découverte, un mélange de saveurs subtil et audacieux. On sent que les produits sont frais et de qualité, et que le chef a une vraie passion pour son métier. La trilogie de la mer était tout simplement exceptionnel, et le tartare de fruit a clôturé le repas en beauté. ​Le service est à la fois professionnel et attentionné, sans être intrusif. Les serveurs connaissent parfaitement la carte et n'hésitent pas à donner de bons conseils. ​En bref, si vous cherchez une expérience culinaire mémorable, ne cherchez plus ! C'est une adresse que je recommande les yeux fermés et où je retournerai...
