Absolutely wonderful B&B. Our plans changed whilst we were staying in Foix and we needed to stay for an extra 2 nights (and then an additional night after that too). Rather than extending at the hotel we had been staying at in Foix we decided to try La Ciboulette instead, and this was a very good decision.||||What did we like?||||- great location, close to Foix, but quiet countryside setting next to a beautiful little river||- huge room, very tasteful and modern furnishings, you can immediately see that the owners really care about their guests. All brand new (in a wonderful old house).||- really friendly welcome and a real pleasure to get to know our host. We will 100% be popping by next time we are in Foix, either to stay overnight, go to the restaurant or just say hello.||- excellent breakfasts. Lots of organic products and eggs from the chickens we had earlier met in the garden.||- nice touches in the room, eg a wide range of different types of tea||- when we needed to stay in Foix for one more night, our host went to all the effort to prepare the downstairs room just for us (it had been recently renovated and wasn’t yet “operational”). We can’t thank our host enough for going to all this trouble. The downstairs room, whilst a little smaller than the two huge upstairs rooms, is still very large compared to any other room we stayed in on our trip, and has a large bathroom with enormous and luxurious shower. We found it very difficult to leave ....||- the host speaks perfect English for those whose French knowledge from school is more than a bit rusty ....||||If booking - best to ring the B&B directly rather than going via a booking portal. The price will be the same ....||||La Ciboulette is where we plan to stay on our future visits to Foix, and we will be recommending it to all our friends. Thank you for...

Read moreWe were passing through Foix a few weeks ago, on our way from the Pyrenees up to Toulouse. We decided to take a look at Foix and are so glad we did so. The town with its narrow mediaeval streets is really attractive, the Abbey and impressive castle plus museum are both very well worth a visit. We decided to stay overnight and in search of something more rural, we chose La Ciboulette, a little way out of town.||The owners were absolutely charming, the room, bathroom and separate loo were large, clean and provided with everything we needed including a very interesting range of teas. The room was quiet and had two windows (or was it three?) with good views, so fresh air plus the gentle sound of a nearby stream which we explored before supper, accompanied by some of La Ciboulette's family of friendly chickens and a sundown glass of wine. And then the food - wow! One of the best meals I've eaten in a long time.||We slept well, breakfast was excellent, delicious and plentiful. We were only sorry to leave. Thank you, La Ciboulette; I hope we...
