Review re-done 06/09/2019 after I did it in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Going from a 5 star rating in 2016 to a poor 2 star rating in 2019 !!!! See the reasons below. Nice, typically Provencal hotel, old at the outside but clean on the inside. Breakfast can be improved with a slice of gouda cheese and slices of normal breat. Camenbert is always available but not everyone eat that in the morning. I wrote this already 4 years ago and it's still the same, nobody listens to critics or am I the only one who thinks like that ???? So this time we brought our own gouda (bought in the Super U nearby) for the morning breakfast and or own bread, because only a "baguette" is available but people with no or bad teeth can NOT eat it. And some nationalities simply do not SOAK thier bread like some French do. So we bought our own bread too. The food at the restaurant is OK, but the choise and quantity is less every year. I've noticed that the 2 balls of ice cream in the profiterolles in 2017 are reduced to 1 ball in 2018 and that for the same price, and they dissapeared completely from the card in 2019 !!! WHY ??? It was the ONLY desent dessert ! The delicious fish soup and the nice big entrecote (picture of 2017) are also dissapeared from the menu. If you want to eat a steak, it will be a little one of 200 grams, no other choise. Then you are better off in the nearby Flunch (cheaper) or the Courtepaille (bigger). Shortly said; the food in the restaurant was a little bit less in 2018 compared to 2017 and a lot less in 2019 ! After visiting several hotels in Manosque I still liked Le Provence but for us it has gone from very good (2016) over good (2018) to poor (2019). We did not make our reservation for 2020 because we will go back to the IBIS, 500 meter further where we get a good breakfast, a bar and a friendly staff. You can even spend the night in a new IBIS Budget for the same price or even less ! I gave a 5 star rating in 2016 and it was worth it, now I give a low 2. This is due to the (unexpected) price raise, 2016: 45 euro (via booking) - 2017: 45 euro (via Jérémy) - 2018: 45 euro (via Jérémy) and now in 2019: 60 euro (booked 1 year in advance in sep 2018 - 2 rooms - 4 persons - paid 612 euro for 4 nights + breakfast ) and the friendlyness of the staff !!!!

Ensuite, j'ai tout vomi dans la salle de bain. Je ne donnerais même pas une demi-étoile à cet hôtel

Good restaurant to have a lunch or dinner. Dishes are good, tasty and fresh. There is private parking and hotel. Not far from highway.

Compared to the price the room was OK, but we booked on booking with no breakfast, during checkin the guy said "and breakfast is over there", so we thought it was included, then at check out we found out that it was €9 per person! Definitely not worthy it! And especially if we were told it was extra, we'd definitely go to a local bar close by with fresh made croissant and it'd have been much cheaper! Moreover, we went in late July to see lavender fields, when we asked the guy where exactly to go, he said "it's all finished, already all cut, no where you can find now"! We were so desperate! But after 10 min drive towards Valensole, we did see many fields already cut, but we still found some fields still with flowers, very beautiful! 2 stars only because it...

Plus:||||||De vriendelijkheid van de uitbater Jeremie maakt er van in het begin een geslaagde vakantie van. Hij is een manusje-van-alles en zorgt alléén voor het goede verloop aan de bar en in het restaurant...... En alles verloopt prima. Bij de kamers kan men kiezen tussen een 2-persoonsbed of 2 éénpersoonsbedden (volgens de beschikbaarheid en/of reservatie). De kamers zijn heel proper en het toilet is gescheiden van de badkamer wat een extra troef is. Het onbijt is niet zo uitgebreid maar alles is er ; brood, koffie, fruitsap, confituur, fruit, granen, kaas (camenbert), hesp en gekookte eieren. Het eten in het restaurant is van goede kwaliteit voor een schappelijke prijs, alsook de wijnen op de kaart. En een bijkomend voordeel is dat men de wagen niet meer dient te nemen om het avondmaal te gebruiken, hoewel er een Flunch is op ongeveer 1.5 km. Na meerdere jaren de ibis of Fasthotel in Manosque te hebben geboekt, verdient deze toch de voorkeur.||Min:||Het hotel ziet er van buiten wat oudbollig uit, maar het is fris en kraaknet van binnen. Sommige personeelsleden mogen wel eens wat vriendelijker zijn in de ochtend (ochtendhumeur ???)). Slapen met een open raam is moeilijk daar er toch nogal wat verkeer is op de baan voor het hotel, maar .... er is airco op de kamer ! 2 Persoonskamers boven met slechts een terras voor 1 persoon. Het is een kleinschalig hotel (13 kamers) waar er veel passage is van werklui die dan het boeltje vuil maken (trap, inkomhall, ..) met hun...
