We had the pleasure of dining at Kaikai Bora Bora during our visit to the beautiful island of Bora Bora, and it truly was an unforgettable experience. The food at Kaikaiborabora was without a doubt the best we have ever had on the island. Every dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared, showcasing the freshest ingredients. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also spectacular. The family that owns the restaurant welcomed us with open arms and treated us like their own family members. Bruce and Hinamui, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. By the end of our stay, we were genuinely sad to leave Bora Bora not only because of the stunning views and luxurious accommodations but also because of the friendships we had formed at Kaikaiborabora. The warmth and hospitality of the family made our visit truly special, and we left feeling like we had gained new family members. If you find yourself in Bora Bora, do not miss the opportunity to dine at Kaikaiborabora. Not only will you be treated to exceptional food and service, but you may also leave with lifelong memories and...
Read moreSmall family restaurant with nice people running it. Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience here. I understand it's "island time" but it did take 1 hour to get our food which was only 2 dishes. It's only 1 guy cooking food, so be ready to wait a very long time if it's busy.
We ordered the fish burger seared, but the middle wasn't raw, it was just cooked all the way through. The photo of the fish burger is also misleading, it looks like a thick cut of tuna, but what I got was a small and thin piece (which was actually broken into two small pieces, see photo), I was so hungry still after that microscopic portion. It also says there is tartar sauce but there was zero tartar sauce.
My wife got the chicken curry, but the curry flavor was watered down and just honestly tasted bad. It was very obvious that on this day, the cook was completely overwhelmed and rushing to make mediocre food.
I wanted to like this place based on all the positive reviews, but I cannot...
Read moreMy wife and I are two weeks in to our adventure honeymoon in French Polynesia, and up until now, haven’t repeated eating anywhere to ensure we had a diversity of experiences. However, on our first day in Bora Bora, we found Kai Kai, and have eaten there every day since on our four day trip. Mata, the owner, is exceedingly charming and a master of smoothies, each one different and yet exceptionally delicious. We also have had simply grilled tuna, executed superbly, the coconut curry shrimp (superb) and the piece de resistance, a whole lobster with a tuna skewer and fries. The prices are quite reasonable, especially for Bora Bora, and more especially for the exquisite quality and execution of the offerings. Tomorrow is our last day in BB, and we are so glad to know where we’ll be...
