Beautiful lunch spot. Upon arriving we were captivated by the view. We showed up on a Sunday lunch without a reservation and place was packed. We were informed that there would be a short 30mns break. Based on the very positive reviews and atmosphere, we decided to wait. Once we were seated, we were promptly given menu and order was taken shortly after. It took about 30mns for our food, but we didn't care- the view from our table was just breath taking. We had ordered their p special rock lobster plate and their large mixed plate with several tuna different ways, shrimp, and fish. Upon arriving plates were loaded with amazing food to the eye. Unfortunately, once tasted we quickly changed our tunes. 2 huge rock lobster tasted mooshy, food that supposed to be hot like mussels mariniĂšres and Escargot were cold, and tuna tartare and tuna crudo were warm. Food was overcooked, lacked seasoning, and just not very good. It was a total disappointment. Service was nice, but just couldn't make up for the food. I just can't recommend this place, when there are so many great...

This place is beautiful, nicely located next to the ocean. Literally when you sit down in the tables with the ocean side you can look down and see all the fishies. That’s ALL they got going on for them. I guess you pay for the location. Because it’s pricey. $35 for a dish that had two small pieces of fish ( only good thing in the plate), 5 fries and a small portion of rice which is undercooked. We thought they just gave us fish grade food so we can use it and throw it out for the fishes to eat. Did not like the sauce either it was very bland. Sad I didn’t take a photo of the place but was so underwhelming. Very sad sad food experience. I was expecting a lot more for a 4.5. Maybe it was just our place the supreme something. But anyways. Beware that the quality is not the best. Maybe just go here to feed the fishes and...

I was initially fine with this restaurant being considered a top attraction in Tahiti. It’s rare for a restaurant to be classified as an attraction, but the stunning location and unique setup justify that status. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. If you’re hoping for fresh, high-quality tuna from French Polynesia, prepare for disappointment—and possibly worse. The tuna was not only stale and unappetizing but also caused a bout of terrible diarrhea. If you have an international flight coming up, I strongly advise against eating here. I’m truly shocked that such subpar and potentially unsafe food is even served in a region known for its seafood. While the view is worth the visit, the food is a serious letdown that might...

Lovely Oceanside restaurant in Tahiti Iti. Recommended by one of our previous guides who ended up having us follow him to the place. So we bought him lunch. Glad he was with us for many reasons including helping us get in. It would have been hard without him knowing everyone. Food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. I had the Assiette Gourmandes which was multiple fish and shell fish raw and cooked. I have never seen a blue shrimp before. My wife had the Papillote Polynesienne which was shrimp and fish with various vegetables. Our friend had the Crevettes (Shrimp) Curry which he said was his favorite. What a feast. Wonderful, friendly service with a great ambiance and view. Worth the drive from Tahiti Nui. Would highly recommend.

Wow you have got to go here if you can make to this side of the island. It a little trek from Papeete but it is soooo worth it. The seating is right on the lagoon. U see fresh fish 🐠🐟 all over when u look over the wall. The staff is super friendly. The menu is on a chalk board but you can ask for an English menu if you French is not good like me. The portions are large and the food is very tasty. If you want to try a little of everything the seafood platter is your best bet. If you want the scallops Tahitian local blue one is was good as well in a light curry sauce.

Wow, what an amazing experience!! The food here is excellent! The service we had was great and the view was breathtaking!! Visited La Plage de Maui on a Saturday evening because they were so busy during their lunch hour which speaks for itself. Dinner was delicious. I had shrimp with a light curry sauce and my husband got the Assiete Gourmand. We both were very pleased with the wait time, suggestions by the server, quality and portion size of the food. This little gem of a restaurant is definitely a must visit!
