Beautiful lunch spot. Upon arriving we were captivated by the view. We showed up on a Sunday lunch without a reservation and place was packed. We were informed that there would be a short 30mns break. Based on the very positive reviews and atmosphere, we decided to wait. Once we were seated, we were promptly given menu and order was taken shortly after. It took about 30mns for our food, but we didn't care- the view from our table was just breath taking. We had ordered their p special rock lobster plate and their large mixed plate with several tuna different ways, shrimp, and fish. Upon arriving plates were loaded with amazing food to the eye. Unfortunately, once tasted we quickly changed our tunes. 2 huge rock lobster tasted mooshy, food that supposed to be hot like mussels mariniĂšres and Escargot were cold, and tuna tartare and tuna crudo were warm. Food was overcooked, lacked seasoning, and just not very good. It was a total disappointment. Service was nice, but just couldn't make up for the food. I just can't recommend this place, when there are so many great...
Read moreThis place is beautiful, nicely located next to the ocean. Literally when you sit down in the tables with the ocean side you can look down and see all the fishies. Thatâs ALL they got going on for them. I guess you pay for the location. Because itâs pricey. $35 for a dish that had two small pieces of fish ( only good thing in the plate), 5 fries and a small portion of rice which is undercooked. We thought they just gave us fish grade food so we can use it and throw it out for the fishes to eat. Did not like the sauce either it was very bland. Sad I didnât take a photo of the place but was so underwhelming. Very sad sad food experience. I was expecting a lot more for a 4.5. Maybe it was just our place the supreme something. But anyways. Beware that the quality is not the best. Maybe just go here to feed the fishes and...
Read moreI was initially fine with this restaurant being considered a top attraction in Tahiti. Itâs rare for a restaurant to be classified as an attraction, but the stunning location and unique setup justify that status. Unfortunately, thatâs where the positives end. If youâre hoping for fresh, high-quality tuna from French Polynesia, prepare for disappointmentâand possibly worse. The tuna was not only stale and unappetizing but also caused a bout of terrible diarrhea. If you have an international flight coming up, I strongly advise against eating here. Iâm truly shocked that such subpar and potentially unsafe food is even served in a region known for its seafood. While the view is worth the visit, the food is a serious letdown that might...
