Chose this because it had a 2 cooking pot rating. We have had some excellent meals at Logis Restaurants with this rating but this was very disappointing. We both chose the lamb dish. The lamb itself was OK but served with ravioli - in itself not a problem but the dish was smothered in a brown gravy which just did not work with the pasta at all. We had reserved a room with terrace but initially shown one without. Our room was changed but we found that the terrace was shared and all under cover with what can only be described as tired furniture. There was a lot of noise form the adjacent room , the door was open and it sounded like the noise from the kitchen. It was difficult to work out where the noise came from. The en suite was minuscule, the shower was tiny and had a broken sliding door but they had squeezed in a bidet. The decor was somewhat tired, especially the corridors and in the en suite. Read moreWith it's statute of Napoleon's eagle outside this made a suitable starting point for the famous drive to Grenoble.||Having travelled from Corsica we were pleased to relax on the front terrace overlooking the N85 with drinks before dinner and watch the world go by. We'd found our room comfortable, typically french provincial, with a pleasant outlook from it's balcony overlooking the landscape at the rear of the hotel.||We opted for the €30 menu which brought us good portions of foiegras (as it should be, cold with toast, not mucked about with), steak with truffle sauce, cheese selection, apple pie which went down well with a Croz Hermitage.||Breakfast next morning in the chintzy dining room complete with parrot gave us a good start to the day and left us pleased to recommend this hotel to...
