Even though we reserved, for a rainy Tuesday lunch, the restaurant was packed with 70 people of all ages in two rooms. The upstairs room seats 25, but hopefully the weather in June will allow seating outside. The popularity of the restaurant has grown since I first knew it, with two more "Dédé's" in Grenoble. The dishes are tasty and local, in generous proportions cooked to perfection. The Salad Dédé includes two types of deliciously warm pastry "tourtons". The alternative "terrine maison à la chartreuse et aux noix" comes in a sealed confiture pot, and was my favourite. The "poulet Dédé" is a large portion served in individual cast iron hot pots, with a delicious sauce and "gratin dauphinois" on side plates. The "murçon de la Mûre", also served in a cast iron pot with poached "ravioles fraiches", is a light aniseed flavoured pork sausage. If you are vegetarian, you can choose just the "ravioles aux sauce". For dessert, the "Mousse au chocolat" is actually the lightest, but if you are still hungry the "Petit choux chantilly" are huge, as is the "Tarte aux noix", a bit too heavy and sweet for my taste. The house wine is appropriately "local". Viognier is a favourite as a white wine, with a small carafe served in an ice bucket if you please. The Côtes du Rhône was also slightly chilled, light and drinkable, even though my preference is for Medoc. Despite the large numbers, the dishes were all cooked to perfection, and most importantly, like the wine, served at the right temperature (I myself always warm the plates :-) Merci Mr Basso. We finished with a small coffee, and needless to say, skipped dinner that night. There is public transport (buses) but for parking, take the first left going north after the restaurant, and even then it's a...

My wife thoroughly enjoyed her chicken dish, my sausage dish - less so; a great salad and a couple of glasses of Rosé. A very...
