Overall, my experience at Chalet de la Toura was not entirely positive. While the mountainous setting is beautiful, the prices for the food were quite high for the quality that was served. I ordered the chicken in breadcrumbs ( cheese and ham instead + White mushrooms souce) with fries and salad, which cost almost 30 euros per dish. The food arrived quickly, faster than our coffee even…… but unfortunately, the meat was cold and the cheese was not melted. It was evident that the food was not freshly cooked, which could be understandable given the remote location of the restaurant, but not for this price.. for sure.. The fries were also cold, which was disappointing. On a more positive note, the salad was fresh and crunchy and tasty. I need to say that the time we’ve been there was around 15 so wasn’t that busy. In the future, I would recommend opting for a freshly made pizza at Chalet de la Toura, as it looked pretty nice and seemed to be a better option than the cooked dishes. Ultimately, while the restaurant has potential, I believe that the pricing should be adjusted to better match the quality of the food being served. Edited We tried the pizza today and i think this is a good choice, so I’ll recommend pizza for sure!

Huge restaurant with both indoor and terrace seating. Ordering is done via QR code* The menu is a bit atypical for a mountain spot, but the dishes are tasty. The pinsas and Greek pita are definitely worth trying. Hard to judge the service in general. When we were there, it was clearly understaffed. Quick tip: avoid the Aperol Spritz 🍹For the price, it is really not worth it. *The QR ordering system is convenient, but charging 4€ just to use it feels a bit sketchy. It actually saves the staff time, so there really should not be a fee at all.

Great place for a break for food and drinks. The Chalet consists of a restaurant with service at the tables and a fast food place with self-service. The restaurant offers a variety of menus from salats to pizza, pasta and mixed meat dishes. The fast food place exclusively served burgers, fries, pizza slices and cookies; all also offered in menus combined with a soft drink. Delicious food, but -1 star for the high prices.

Review for Chalet Le Toura

I had an amazing lunch here! As an Italian, I can confidently say that I have never had a tiramisu like this before—it was truly exceptional. The steak I ordered was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the French fries were simply unbeatable.

The chef is incredibly friendly and has no problem coming over to chat with customers, making the experience even more special. Everyone speaks English fluently, so communication is never an issue. Without a doubt, this is one of the best mountain refuges in the world. Italy has some outstanding mountain lodges, but this place truly matches Italian standards—which is saying a lot!

I absolutely loved my time here, not only because of the fantastic food but also because of the kindness and professionalism of the staff. A special mention to Lilou—she is the best! Super knowledgeable, extremely polite, and clearly very dedicated to her work. She works incredibly hard and is truly outstanding.

I can only give five stars—congratulations to the whole team and keep up...

I don’t usually write bad reviews, but… we went to eat after skiing, waited in the line to be seated, when we got in, we told the waiter we would like to share a plate. He said we can’t do that, we said alright then, we just not that hungry. He said to us to wait a bit, he gonna see what he can do about it. After a few minutes a lady comes back, very aggressively, saying we can’t share plates, or if we do, we gonna get charged for 15 euros (?). We said it’s fine, but you don’t have to be so rude. She didn’t even listen to us, saying we are fine with getting two food, she was just keep saying we gonna get charged. At this point the rudeness and the lack of communication was soooo frustrating we decided to leave. I do not recommend the place if you want to eat in a good environment. It was a good example why everybody hates French people. The alpes are beautiful it’s just sad it’s part of...
