Unfortunately we were disappointed with our experience. We went in the evening and were driven up in their snow tractor, which was a good if noisy experience. We were served straight away with a dull starter of rolls with salmon and tuna, and cheese pastries. We had pre-ordered the vegetarian raclette and made it clear two of us were veggie. However after a while our vegetarian starter option arrived, which to be honest was a quite an improvement on the non veggie (goats cheese balls and fried gnocchi.) The main course of Raclette with grilled aubergine and courgette was good, and those who had the cote de beouf enjoyed it. The dessert was a dull sponge. Over all not at all good value for money…and the ambience lacked some style in the upstairs room. Next time I’ll definitely stay in the village...
Read moreFriendly service, coal burning fire makes for incredible atmosphere, however is more of a gimmick than a good meal, as meats such as the veal and pork ribs can often be underdone, and the steaks with a lackluster crust. The burgers however are the best in the ski resort, the chips also. However when splurging for a steak, there are better options available on the slopes. Also, whenever outside there is an unpleasant smell of sewage, however (I have been told) that this issue will be sorted in the...
Read moreWe discovered this hidden gem a few days ago when enjoying the summer in the French Alps. Everything is outstanding: the quality of the food, the menu, the wines, the service and atmosphere. You can really experience that the owners have a passion for proper food. Especially the grilled dishes, like the entrecote or calamari, and the homemade tarte tatin are amazing. Definitely a place you must visit!! We have been here 3 times during our holiday and we will for sure return...
