We used this hotel as a stop-over on our way back home from the Alps. It is a few km's away from Wissembourg, a nice retreat from the busy German highways. The rooms are relatively small but well equipped and well insulated (there were few guests at the hotel which may have helped). Bedding is excellent. The restaurant was more crowded and we were seated away from a large family with lots of children celebrating one or the other occasion. The menu is regional Alsacian food with a choice of local wines. Quality of meal and service were very decent. The hotel is next to Wine cellar de Cléebourg where you can taste and stock up on local wines, even on Sunday. It seems to be an excellent exploring base for the northeastern alsace wine region. Read moreGreat experience. The hotel is located in a beautiful region, next to a wine house, and hosts a great restaurant. In the restaurant I tried the entrecôte, the vegetarian wok with cacahouète and the fish salade. The former two dishes I can definitely recommend, the latter was OK. Being able to try the local crémant and the red wine (pinot noir?) was a huge plus. The view from both the rooms as the restaurant on the valley is incredible. My room had a terrace which was equipped with a set of chairs and a table, the room itself was well equipped. Unfortunately, I could not connect to the Wi-Fi with my laptop, although no problems with my phone. Service was friendly and familiar and suited the small countryside hotel vibe.
