Once is possible but would not go there again. Not worth it. overall food tastes OK but nothing amazing though the restaurant has a nice view and a lack of waiters which makes service slow and incompetent hence gives you plenty of time to enjoy the view.
Foodwise, we received some bread in brown paper bags, it was cut and well dried up, so I was not sure if this was supposed to accompany food or be super sized croutons. I order pieds et paquets , it was suppose to be main course - three tiny balls with a sprinkle of few bacon pieces and one potato. This might be ok for the entree but I felt hungry after that almost more than before eating. Others ordered something else and if you get something with rice and pasta then you get a decent amount of food, otherwise make sure you get an entree. One person ordered a dessert with strawberries and got a dessert with strawberry syrup :( I asked for cognac from the menu - they did not have any. We had a group of over 10 people and a few of us did not receive food and had to ask for it again.
It is quite pricey though for an "averagie" type of restaurant, with mains at around €22 and entrées at...
Read moreAmazing view, good fish - this is the second time and will be the last time for us- first advice: check they serve what you have ordered. Sadly the staff made a mistake with my son order who asked for a beef tartare.. he was served with tuna tartare and did not dare ask why it looked and tasted different… he left it aside ( the whole dish) -We never cook raw food .. I did not realise it was a mistake.. when we finally realized ..staff simply said: “next time do not hesitate to say and we will change it!” - (!!) - I mentionned the issue when I paid to a member of the family owner: No gesture.. no apologies… we came home and I cooked for my son after I spent 150Euros for 3 ( 1 appetizer, 3 main dish and 1 dessert - no alcohol) Customer service can definitely be improved .. whether customer is a local or not, the restaurant must take accountability for its own mistake- Last advice :pick a pastry ( made by a chef) rather than an ice cream which has nothing special but far too much whipped cream to make one dizzy for a...
Read moreAfter many years visiting France (especially as a non French speaker) I was positively overwhelmed by this visit. Everything was easy, and everything done with a genuine smile. The owner and staff work beautiful together and seems to have fun while bringing guests into their familiar and kind environment without ever letting professionalism slip. The view is incredible, (booking essential) service quick and attentive, menue and food well balanced and beautifully presented with details and information about where ingredients were sourced (all local) Winelist respectable and prices fair. Best of all; well behaved dogs allowed!
10/10 would come again. Thank you!
(Park outside of town (only option) and expect to walk a lot of stairs up and down to get around, great to reduce tourism numbers and...
