Café de la Paix — Restaurant in Jonzac

Blink and you'll miss this one! The entrance is just like a house opening (in fact, looks like it's a converted house) so it's easy to miss even though it's on the main road.

Food was good/very good.

Starter was a self service salad bar with varied choice. Nothing too exciting or overwhelming plus want keen on people leanjng over the food.

Mains. A la carte and fixed price menus Two people had steaks..both cooked well and a very generous portion of chips. One however was very fatty, so one person less satisfied. The turkey dish was excellent and as we had two other fussy eaters, the restaurant happily made an omelette and chips for us (not on the menu). The 16€ was excellent value. Desserts were very good.

It is a wonderful restaurant with a lovely and warm reception.

We got the combo of the day; you can serve from the salad bar + one main + 1/4 of wine and dessert for $15 euros - you can’t beat that 🙌🏼

Very convivial owners. I have been coming to this restaurant for more than 20year's now and it has changed owners 3 times and has finally come back to good food and good atmosphere. Prices very reasonable and good choice of all courses. Highly recommend...
