We had a truly magnificent mid-afternoon lunch at la Cabane du Grouin in mid-September 2020. We enjoyed a dozen delectable oysters each and shared a delicious order of the wakame tartare oysters. To accompany this feast, we had a bottle of a local, organic rosé that suited the occasion perfectly. And the dessert...a delicious flan with local salted caramel and salicorne seaweed. Simply scrumptious!! In addition to all this, the staff - particularly the waitress - were kind and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the playful banter - a bit of verbal jousting - with the waitress. We very highly recommend la Cabane du Grouin for its quality food, its location and its staff. We'll definitely go back as soon...

Half the menu was not available. Very long wait for food (over an hour). Staff seemed rather obtuse and difficult. No apology for slow service or lack of menu options. (How hard is it to not sell out of the plateau des fruit de mer by 1.30pm at a seafood shack?) Shame because its a nice location. Nice vibe. The food was very good when it did arrive, quite expensive...

Happened upon this by chance and what a happy accident it was! The oysters were outstanding. We had half a dozen no. 3 and a half dozen "large" no. 2, which were basically no. 1. And followed that with what seemed a bottomless pot of mussels that we really didn't want to end! It's a basic setup but the food is delicious and service friendly. Would recommend stopping by.

One of those little gems you sometimes find by accident. We had fresh oysters (of course!), a Japanese style tartare huîtres, crevettes and mussels. Desserts were amazing with fresh macarons and a Panna cotta with oyster based caramel and samphire. Great setting in the middle of oyster farms (and a fantastic bike ride along the northern coast to get there).
