We stayed here for four days for a friends birthday. The hotel is run by a lovely young couple , a Frenchman and his Australian wife. They display an energy and enthusiasm that is refreshing, nothing was too much trouble. The 800 year old building is being slowly restored by them as the business grows. Our room overlooked an historic street and ancient well that was once used by Julius Ceasar. In the bowels of the building there is an amazing cavern which we used for the birthday celebrations. The bed and room were very comfortable. They have a lovely terrace where we could enjoy the view and sip coffee and eat croissants in the morning. The restaurant is run by a lovely man named Raphael who cooks delicious meals. Montpezat sous Bauzan is a beautiful village, much larger than I expected. Fabulous walks , very pretty with its chestnut trees and hydrangea bushes and a great experience to see first hand French...
