Today, a warm day in July, I visited this beautiful restaurant for the second time. We had a nice table in the interior, the terrace was coverred with cloth but still seemed too warm. We were welcomed and seated, staff very kind and helpful. The restaurant is very spacious and the layout is very open, with open view towards the chef de cuisine. Menu: lunch menu du jour, 3 courses explained to us at the table. Gazpacho de concombre et tomate. Very tastful, cucumber but delicate and served with oil and decorated with flowers. One of our party asked for alternative and was presented with a melon espuma. This was delicious as well. Main course: poulet au citron. The poulet on a bed of "courgettes avec pommes et rucola" and served with a very light "creme de citron". It was very tasteful and the cream was superb. Dessert: a mousse of lemon on a biscuit. Served with coulis, one strawberry and I am sorry but I forgot the other one.. Delicious! All accompanied by a very good Sauvignon blanc from Domaine Chazalis. Overall: it was a beautiful lunch, all courses complementary to each other. Previous visit May this year and improved already. This chef is on his way to a Michellin star. Equipe de salle: very good. Parking: easy and next to restaurant. Entrance via path in front of restaurant on other side of parking. Price range: 48-55 eu pp with tip. We were party of 4, enjoyed menu du jour bottle of wine and coffee/tea gourmand. A visit is highly...
Read moreSadly the experience did not meet our (high) expectations. Maybe the bar was set too high by some of the reviews we found online?
The terrace is nice, but does not really offer a view. In fact, it is probably just as nice to have lunch or dinner inside, which looked really attractive.
The service was attentive and very friendly, but somehow we felt that the food was not very special. Every dish tasted a little bland for our preference, lacking distinctive and different flavours. Overall it was a nice experience, but not quite what we...
