We had a wonderful evening at Le Pairon and were lucky to be some of the first customers after the restaurant reopened with a new duo taking over the business.
We were able to talk to the owners at the end of the night which gave us a bit more of an insight into the efforts and hard work that they have put into this new venture.
The restaurant itself is in a cute and quiet village with a welcoming community. It’s set in the corner of the village square with ample room on their decked front area which is perfectly lit in the evenings to add to its charm. It has a fair sized dining room inside with a classy stripped back minimalist style and bare stone that suits the local area.
It has a nicely stocked bar with fantastic local wines and beers. You can tell that the owners take time and care to source the best drinks in the area to offer at good prices.
The restaurant follows the same premise with its food menu. The ingredients are carefully picked, locally sourced and seasonal. They are all prepared freshly so the menu will be regularly changing to be serving the best food that is available at the time. The menu was small but obviously very well considered with a good vegetarian options too.
The service was tentative and friendly but also very relaxed. On our visit we found a nice mix of locals and tourists enjoying the restaurant which gave the night a good atmosphere and cozy buzz. There was some gentle background music which added to this too.
The food itself was carefully prepared and perfectly presented with well balanced and complimenting flavours. The portions of each dish were generous but not overwhelming and we left feeling comfortably full and well satisfied!
The new owners here have already made a great start in taking over this restaurant and I’m sure in no time they will drawing in customers from afar.
Thank you Le Pairon for a lovely evening. We hope to come back...
Read moreWhat a great new restaurant. Lovely food, fantastic service and a gorgeous cave-like dining room. It was raining when we visited, so we didn’t get to sit on the beautiful terrace but we’ll be back in the summer so fingers crossed!
All the food is made from local produce which is great, and the wine too! The highlight of our meal was the beignets (?) of acacia blossom with homemade ice cream which we could have eaten 10 of.
Thanks for a wonderful experience -...
Read moreStressant !
