La cuisine est de premier ordre : chaque plat était une expérience gustative – parfaitement équilibré, présenté avec amour et préparé avec les meilleurs ingrédients. Le chef de cuisine est un maître dans son art : ici, les plats ne sont pas seulement cuisinés, mais composés avec passion. Le service était exceptionnel : les serveuses et les serveurs étaient toujours sympathiques, attentionnés et professionnels sans être intrusifs. Chaque souhait a été exaucé avec un sourire. Nous avons appréciés manger dans le jardin qui est très cosy, les tables sont bien espacées permettant de discuter paisiblement. Le cocktail sans alcool était bon, il manquait simplement un peu d'originalité selon moi. Le fois gras était excellent mais, surtout au vu du prix, mériterait un deuxième toast car le seul toast n'est vraiment pas adapté à la portion servie. La daurade était très bien cuite et les accompagnements succulents, le mélange des saveurs était vraiment sympa en bouche. Le snickers ne m'a malheureusement pas particulièrement plu, le goût et la texture du biscuit prenait trop le dessus pour moi. Cependant, le moelleux au chocolat était divin, préparé minute, j'en ai rarement mangé un aussi bon. Le service était quand même très long, nous sommes arrivés à 19h45 et avons eu les desserts à 22h30. Les serveurs sont super sympas et professionnels, l'ambiance est très conviviale. En clair, il ne fait aucun doute que c'est un super restaurant avec une cuisine locale. L'ensemble était travaillé, juste quelques petites améliorations pourraient avoir lieu mais il ne s'agit que de mes goûts, au global c'était une très belle expérience !

S'il y a bien un endroit incontournable pour régaler vos papilles si vous passez près des Vans (07), c'est bien celui là ! Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment en famille à 13 personnes pour un anniversaire au restaurant L'olivier de Païolive . Tous les ingrédients sont là : le cadre apaisant et plein de charme, la cuisine délicieuse et gourmande, le service aux petits soins et au top de la gentillesse, l'adaptation irréprochable en plein service (pour cause d'orage) et la responsable charmante et drôle (mention spéciale pour les digestifs !). Si nous avons un conseil : n'hésitez pas à tester, c'est un vrai régal !!! Recommandation à 200%

One of the best experiences I have had in Ardèche - impeccable service and delicious food.

Food: Creative dishes using fresh local and seasonal ingredients (hence why it is a great place to dine during the summer). Unlike my horrendous experience at Restaurant Le Carré des saveurs in Baljac, L’Olivier de Paiolive wonderfully explores different textures and flavors in each dish. My group and I all ordered from the set menu (29 euros for 3 courses and 39 euros for 4). The restaurant accommodated for my dietary restrictions (lacto-ovo vegetarian) by altering the set menu with flavourful options to choose from despite not having called in earlier for reservations (it was a last minute decision to dine here and we were lucky to get a table on a Friday night because there was a “no show”). My first course was a light summer salad with tomatoes, candied nuts, and a savory “crème brûlée” (goat cheese topped with a thin layer of carmalized sugar - hence the name). The carmalizarion of the sugar on the goat cheese gave it a little kick of flavour that paired well with the richness of the cheese and added a wonderful crispy texture to the dish. The cheese with the tomatoes and candies nuts tasted brilliant together. My second course included vegetables in season, tofu and a very tasty polenta. The third course (dessert), I had the apple tart which was good, but my friend’s chocolate lava cake was to die for - very rich, crispy on the outside like a good brownie and creamy (oozy) and warm on the inside. Overall experience with the food: very impressed especially since my last experience at another restaurant was one of my worst ever. I believe the kitchen is a team of five, small but quite talented and I appreciate the effort and creativity from the chef. Bravo!

Ambiance: There is a beautiful patio on the second floor, however, we dined in the garden where there is a massive tree with an excellent canopy (a great way to highlight the beautiful landscape of Ardèche). The place is very clean and comfortable, however, my only criticism is that finding parking can be tricky because it’s limited.

Service: 5/5 - excellent! Probably my favorite part about my dining experience. The customer service was exceptional; Friendly, professional, and attentive. Everyone had a wonderful smile on their faces and were very welcoming. Special shout out to Mélanie who had the warmest smile and joyous attitude.
