People Beach — Restaurant in Le Marin

People Beach offers a relaxing spot with a clean pool, a well-stocked bar, and a restaurant, making it a solid choice for a leisurely day. My experience was enjoyable at the pool, earning it a 4-star rating, but 2 stars at the restaurant, earning it 3 stars overall. Since it was close to where we were staying, we came to the pool several times.

The pool was inviting and well-maintained, with clean water and functional pool chairs that provided a comfortable place to lounge. To use the pool, we were required to purchase a drink (2 visits) or rent a chair (1 visit), but since we were planning to order anyway, this wasn’t an issue. The bar had a good selection, and the service was smooth and efficient.

People Beach Restaurant offers a picturesque setting for a meal, but my experience was a mixed bag.

I ordered the chicken coconut dish, which had a nice presentation (see photo), but the flavor fell short. The sauce tasted like a simple off-the-shelf mix, resembling heated soup, and was overly salted. It felt uninspired compared to the expectations set by the setting.

One additional irritation. The business seems to have a lot of rules that treat customers as adversaries, which may explain why it is so empty. Here are some examples. 1. Menu has a €5 up-charge to share a plate. 2. €1 up-charge to carry out a drink. 3. Various charges to use the pool chairs, regardless of your business at the bar. It all just seems very adversarial in a business that might be more successful pleasing the customer.

It’s a fine place for a laid-back visit with good facilities at the pool and an easygoing atmosphere. If you’re in the area and looking for a spot to unwind, as long as you don’t want to share a dish or just have a Coke, People Beach is worth checking out. I can’t recommend the restaurant,...

This restaurant has got to be the worst restaurant I ever ate at in my life, and I'm 61 years old.

I've eaten at restaurants in many different countries, but this one tops any of the bad ones that I have ever eaten at, anywhere in the world!

Myself and my wife ordered the Jambom fromage pizza, the topping on the pizza was ham, and cheese.

When we received the pizza which took at least 25 minutes for them to allegedly cook, the ham on the top of the pizza was uncooked, the cheese was barely melted, and the crust was uncooked, and doughy it tasted like terrible raw dough, with lots of salt. 👎

The pizza was absolutely Disgusting!🤢🤮

The woman that served the pizza, had her husband taking care of her 2-month-old baby in the gazebo near us.

The pizza costs 14 Euros for garbage, could buy a better frozen pizza from the grocery store, and cook it in the microwave and it would have tasted better, because it would at least have been cooked!

The atmosphere was 1970s, with 1970s American disco music, there was virtually no one there at the restaurant, and after being served the pizza you could immediately tell why.🤔

No matter how desperate you are, please do not go to this place it is a complete waste of money, and the service is terrible, and the host looks like she belongs at a club rather than a restaurant, and I believe she was the manager also.

I would not dare order anything that needs to be cooked at this so-called restaurant because I would be afraid of getting food poisoning. 🤢

As for the bar, it is worse than a dive bar in Tijuana Mexico.

Je me suis rendue à ce restaurant le 3 Septembre 2023 pour la première fois accompagnée de 2 amis. Un endroit dont les mérites étaient vantés par l'un de mes proches; c'est d'ailleurs pour cette raison que je me suis laissée tenter.

Cependant, mon grand regret a été d'avoir dépensé 21,50€ dans cet établissement...

N'ayant pas réservé, nous nous présentons vers 13h sur les lieux. Pour contextualiser, c'était plein. Mais nous n'étions que 3, alors je tente ma chance auprès d'une brune qui y travaille. Elle me rétorque qu'il n'y a plus de places et qu'elles ne sont que deux en salle, qu'elle ne peut pas nous accueillir, de revenir pour 15h30.

Alors pour que j'ai une garantie, je lui demande de réserver le créneau. Elle me rétorque que ce n'est pas la peine, de me présenter finalement à 14h30 et qu'il y aura moins de monde.

Je reviens à 15h. Madame Christelle nous accueille convenablement, nous installe à une table et nous dit que sa collègue brune prendra notre commande.

15h37, je n'ai toujours pas de cartes et des gens qui se sont attablés après nous, en ont eues.

J'ai été contrainte de me lever pour les récupérer... Mais la brune semblait anormalement agacée. Je n'avais encore rien dit qu'elle me partageait le fait "qu'elle était sollicitée de tous les côtés".

En quoi cela me concerne-t-il?

Je m'attable, consulte le menu que j'ai récupéré et fait mon choix auprès de cette dernière qui ne daigne nous adresser une formule de politesse comme 'Bonjour'.

Pendant que nous énonçons nos menus, elle traite une jeune nommée Aurane de c*nne. Je suis abasourdie.

Elle récupère ses cartes et nous sert quelque temps après.

J'ai eu droit à un hamburger réchauffé au micro-onde et une part de frites sans crudités (malgré l'annotation 2 accompagnements), mes amis ont eu droit à de la sauce caramélisée aux ribs(beaucoup trop de sauce).

Personne n'a fini...

Pendant que nous déjeunions, nous avions en plus de la musique, un cinéma à notre disposition. Que ce soit clair, le linge sale ne se lave pas en public, les réprimandes faites au personnelle doivent avoir lieu après le service. Des choses sont à revoir dans l'organisation et du personnel est à recruter car 3 employés ne suffisent visiblement pas.

People beach ne me reverra pas. Cependant le lieu peut convenir aux familles qui souhaiteraient profiter de la piscine. En terme de qualité prix, je trouve qu'ils sont légèrement trop élevés pour la qualité des produits.

Entre autres, je souhaite à Aurane et à Christelle un bon courage pour la suite. Elles nous ont témoignés une attention particulière malgré leurs conditions de travail et ceci n'est pas négligeable.

PS: Un lycée, dont je ne nommerais pas le nom, propose des formations dédier à la restauration.
