Le Café de la Plage — Restaurant in Les Sables-d'Olonne

I rarely give a bad review BUT Don't go near this place. Someone is pulling a scam ....ordered a Jack Daniels and coke and as I drink JD all the time from the first sip I knew it certainly wasn't JD and when I drew the bartenders attention to that I got "oh he made a mistake with the bottle and id been given a Ballantine Whiskey " ....I said ok and waited outside expecting a JD .....a drink arrived and again it certainly wasn't JD ....... He then probably thought we were English and didn't understand Euros after we'd given him cash and he attempted to short change us by € 5 ....... Dodgy drinks and unscrupulous dealing...

The waiter obviously doesnt like tourists. He told his buddies in French who were sitting behind us. After he ignored us several times he went to help other French people first. This waiter probably doesnt understand that tourists are bringing in the cash so that he can do his groceries and pay his rent.

For le cafe de la plage: some foreign tourists understand french perfectly....
