This is not an hotel - it's a few scruffy rooms above a Japanese Sushi restaurant. We arrived 25 minutes earlier than the check-in time and were basically told to push off and come back later. When we did return, they had the cheek to demand payment up front - before showing us our room. The room was dingy with no tea/coffee making facilities - and noisy! It was hard to get any sleep what with banging doors, squeaking bed springs from the adjacent room and loud voices from the restaurant ( using the term generously ) until late at night. Reception was not manned at any time that we saw - staff from the restaurant doubled up to cover it. (If there had been someone around to complain to when we walked out we would have asked for a refund). We were told by a local resident that the hotel had changed ownership recently which may be why some reviews on here are more sympathetic. Would we stay at Le Richelieu again? Not...
