We ate here on the 18th June 2025 evening out of necessity as we had travelled down from Roscoff to stay in the area, it was late, and we needed to eat. Unfortunately the service was not only very slow given the few customers who were there - they pointedly ignored us, continued on their phones and smoking. When they finally decided to serve us they were disrepectful, rude and actually it felt like they were, one male member of staff in particular, aggressive towards us. The food was okay but way overpriced for what we got: the whole experience was so negative we would not recommend it to anyone. This is a rare occurance for us in France as all the restaurants we ate in during our 2 week holiday both in the area and also in Roscoff were polite, professional and really very good indeed! Read moreGood food. Perhaps a bit overpriced and portions are small but has a nice sea view. I had mussels, thought it was one of the nicer moules marniere I had in the vendee as I find the mussels are prepared nicer in the North. Others had sea bream, loved the vegetables but got a tiny portion of fish. Service was nice and friendly but had to ask multiple times for the same thing. Some dishes were served a lot later than others. I generally don't care about delays so long as food is good however would expect it to be noted or apologised. I was surprised to see a Mexican beer (corona) on tap but can't get a French lager anywhere anymore. A glass of Kronenburg would be better...

Nous avons récemment dîné au restaurant "Le Bel Endroit". Eh bien, le nom ne ment pas... la vue sur l'océan est superbe ! Pour le reste, c'est une autre histoire.
Nous avons commandé un burger frites, des moules frites, une pièce du boucher, et un risotto de gambas. Commençons par le burger : un steak surgelé qui avait probablement hâte de retourner au congélateur, accompagné de frites sorties tout droit d'un paquet Intermarché. D'ailleurs, on a vu le cuisinier attraper le paquet, il ne s'est même pas caché. Niveau discrétion, zéro.
Les moules étaient correctes, mais encore une fois, les frites étaient en mode "surgelé" aussi. La fameuse "pièce du boucher" était en fait une brochette de viande. Surprise ! Mais je dois admettre, c'était plutôt bon. Dommage pour les frites, qui avaient sûrement rêvé d'être fraîches un jour.
Le risotto de gambas était bien, jusqu'à ce que les frites viennent gâcher la fête. Vous sentez un thème récurrent ? En dessert, j'ai craqué pour une crêpe au Nutella. Et là, grosse surprise... c'était une crêpe industrielle de la marque "Waouh", peut-être parce qu'ils espéraient qu'on dirait "Waouh" en la voyant. Spoiler : on ne l'a pas dit.
En résumé, le seul lien entre le nom du resto et l'expérience, c'est la vue imprenable sur l'océan. Pour la cuisine, disons que ça ne m'a pas laissé un souvenir impérissable, sauf si on...
