LA BRACONNE — Restaurant in Lesparre-Médoc

Sadly, this was probably the worst meal I’ve had in France — and it was just breakfast! I can’t speak for their other meals, but if they’re anything like this, I’d steer clear.

We ordered two dishes. One was a simple eggs and bacon on toast — not exactly rocket science, right? What arrived was two fried eggs, one piece of bacon and two slices of slightly stale, not-even-toasted, perfectly square white bread, topped with one of those plasticky processed cheese slices. This is the land of amazing bread and cheese — how do you mess that up? It was almost impressive how bad it was, as if they’d done it on purpose.

Then came the bacon muffin. Picture this: half (yes, half!) of a stale, un-toasted muffin — I couldn’t even bring myself to eat it — with bacon and fried potatoes that managed to be both weirdly crispy on the outside and undercooked...

Really do not know how this place is still open, because I can not imagine anyone would come back more than once. Waitresses walking around with their masks half on and won't even look you in the eye when your speaking to them. Then you order your breakfast and you get one tiny butter for your toast and if you ask for more your told yiu youu will be charges extra. Never ever go here please, worst restaurant in Lacanau probably...

Tout avait bien commencé à l’apéritif . Nous avons donc décidé de dîner sur place . Ce fut notre erreur . Alors que nous avions précisé que nous étions pressés, plus de 40 minutes après le passage de la commande, nous n’étions toujours pas servis… L’établissement était pourtant à moitié vide, occupé quasi uniquement par des clients qui buvaient l’apéritif ou des cocktails sans plats . Nous inquiétant de la longueur de la préparation de nos quatre plats ( Tartines italiennes, camembert fondu, assortiment de tapas) …La serveuse nous a averti qu’un incident avait eu lieu en cuisine et que nos plats allaient arriver. Il a fallu encore 10 bonnes minutes pour qu’ils finissent par arriver ….. FROID ! Tout cela pourrait se passer de commentaire, si ce n’est l’attitude du « responsable » À qui j’ai fait part De mon mécontentement, qui s’est justifié par un incident en cuisine, qui ne s’est pas excusé, qui n’a bien sûr fait aucun geste commercial… Du moins je ne peux même pas en attester car je n’ai pas eu droit au ticket de caisse correspondant à mon addition … Il est grand temps de changer de...
