🍷 A Culinary Jewel in the Heart of Saint-Émilion – Le Caffé Cuisine 🍷
During our recent stay in Saint-Émilion, we had the immense pleasure of dining at Le Caffé Cuisine—an experience so exceptional that we returned two nights in a row, unable to resist its charm and refined flavors.
From the very first bite, it was clear: this is not your average bistro. This is culinary artistry wrapped in authenticity.
We began with the eggs mayonnaise, an elegantly simple French classic elevated to perfection. Then came the salmon tartare—ultra-fresh, finely balanced, and beautifully plated. For the main course, the star of the evening: a veal T-bone grilled to flawless tenderness, served with a velvety potato purée and a crisp green salad bursting with freshness. Every element of the plate spoke of quality, precision, and respect for ingredients.
And the finale? A berry sorbet served alongside a delicate fresh cake and crème fraîche—light, vibrant, and the perfect ending to a truly memorable meal.
What sets Le Caffé Cuisine apart isn’t just the food (though it is outstanding), it’s also the warm, professional service, the accessible pricing, and the deep sense that this is a restaurant run with heart, soul, and savoir-faire.
Whether you’re a local gourmand or a traveler seeking an unforgettable meal in wine country, Le Caffé Cuisine is a must. We can't...
Read moreWe were staying locally & this was recommended to us by our hosts. Beautiful setting & still warm enough mid September to sit outside. We went twice as the 1st time it was so good although the 2nd time the service was slow as most of the guests all turned up at 19.30, why book everyone around the same time?? So not the waiters fault & they were very apologetic & gave us a complementary drink but we had to wait 1 1/2 hours before we had our main meal hence only 4 stars. French menu on big black boards brought to you & read out, nice idea, but if you are not good at reading French or remembering 20+ options then this is not as good as having an menu card to peruse & chose from. That said the food is of a high quality if a little pricey, we had a lovely helpful waiter & I would recommend, definitely worth a...
Read moreFabulous little restaurant in this lovely town, a real gem of a venue with amazing food. Two of us had the fixed price menu for €20 and two of us went a la carte. The Prix fix was amazing value for money with a rating of 10/10 for the main (grilled pork with basil risotto and carrot purée) from both an adult and a nine year old. One of the mains off the a la carte was the milk fed veal, which was utterly delicious and rated 11/10 if possible and the last was a sirloin, which was very good, but the fries needed to be double/triple cooked. The staff were excellent, and the atmosphere was busy for a Thursday, but not too loud and very easy going.
The wine list was excellent, with lots of local options, all in all one of our favourite restaurants, that we will...
