A restaraunt we make reasonably regular visits to on a Friday or Saturday evening during the summer.
The restaurant is one of three in the extremely popular village of Rennes-Le-Chateaux. Often packed with tourist during peak summer holiday season. In the evening however things tend to quite down and getting a table is much easier.
The restaurant has a fantastic terrace with stunning views over the valleys and Pyrenees to the south. On a warm summers evening the views alone are worth the visit.
They also often have visiting musicians on a Friday evening, but best check their Facebook page first.
The restaurant is owned and operated by a couple with a team providing excellent food and service. Menu is not extensive but allows for quality to be maintained.

Read moreHighly recommend 🤩 If you are in Rennes Le Chateau, make sure to stop at this restaurant for your lunch break or dinner. The setting is beautiful, the views over The Valley are stunning, the entire set-up is so nice and taken well care of. The menu offers a selection of home-made dishes with seasonal, local sourced ingredients. There are vegetarian options too and they are not just omelette or salad but elaborated and creative. There was even one vegan dish the day we visited. The portions are very satisfying, the staff is always on top of everything, very attentive and super friendly. They provided a bowl of water for our dog without us needing to ask for it. We loved our lunch break here, the food is absolutely delicious and really well elaborated. We would always come again.
Bonne continuation à toute l’équipe, c’était un grand plaisir de...

We ordered the charcuterie plate as an appetizer which was great with our apéro. As main i took the chicken skewers while my wife took the vegetable empanadas, both were delicious! As a dessert I had the baked peach with lavender, i was surprised by the light and refreshing taste of this combination. A good selection of craft beers and wines make this the perfect place to have dinner or lunch in a fantastic setting. Be aware that the road up the mountain is a little bit steep and challenging if you are not used to it, so best to take some time to do it at...
