Auberge des Dominicaines — Restaurant in Lisieux

Exquisite lunch, some flare and panache and a nod to the classical side of cuisine set this excellent Auberge aside.

Pont L'eveque is a gorgeous little town much restored and well worth stopping for a couple of hours.

The town appears to have a great food culture and a good selection of Restaurants.

This healthy competition probably keeps the prices down and the chefs on their toes menu wise.

We very much enjoyed a couple of courses and the ample portions ment desert was declined.

A cassoulet of fish and black pudding Tartlet to start followed by a wonderful skate and capers and a delicious casserole of suckling pig to follow.

Highly recommend this fine establishment. One small criticism. Wine by the glass or bottle and no carafe of house...

J'ai mangé une terrine de poisson riche en poisson au très bon goût avec une sauce crémeuse et citron puis un civet de cochon bien confit avec une purée de pommes de terre maison, une sauce aux pommes. Une tarte normande aux pommes et caramel beurre salé avec une délicieuse pâte faîte maison. Une note de 5/5 Service très rapide et très agréable. Personnel très aimable et souriant

Je suis ravi de partager mon avis sur le restaurant où j'ai eu la chance de savourer un repas exceptionnel. Tout d'abord, la terrine de poisson était absolument délicieuse, avec une texture riche et un goût prononcé de poisson. La sauce crémeuse et citronnée était l'accompagnement parfait pour ce plat savoureux.

Le civet de cochon était également remarquable, avec une viande tendre et savoureuse. La purée de pommes de terre était lisse et crémeuse, tandis que la sauce aux pommes ajoutait une touche sucrée et acidulée au plat.

La tarte normande était un vrai délice, avec des pommes juteuses et une croûte croustillante et fondante en bouche. Le caramel beurre salé était parfaitement dosé, ajoutant une touche de douceur et de salinité à la tarte. La pâte faite maison était clairement un gage de qualité.

Le service était rapide et agréable, avec un personnel aimable et souriant. Cela a contribué à rendre l'expérience culinaire encore plus agréable.

one of the worst places i have eaten ever!!! we were 4 adults and 4 kids, NO ONE finished his plates, all were horrible, even the kids didnt wanted to eat their chicken. also deserts were horrible, but the price was very nice (if you get what i mean...) After our big disappointment we had to go again to eat, in the pizza down the line, so we wont go to bed hungry.
