Le Relais de Kerpenhir — Restaurant in Lorient

Enjoyable and tasty dinner. Dinner starts from 7 and reservations seemed pretty essential (August). The bar has a traditional French feel before dinner, old guys shouting hello to one another over small beers and pastis, but the diners are mostly French couples or families with some foreigners thrown in. Service was at the right speed for this type of place - expect and enjoy a wait between courses and if the plates are left a bit long then try and save some bread to enjoy wiping them clean. Set menus are from around 14 to 28 EUR. Food is simple and tasty, no jus dripped around things, just good traditional butter/cream sauces for the fish dishes and thankfully plain steamed/boiled potatoes (that don't distract from the flavours of the more important ingredients). No English menu but the waiter spoke a bit of English. Don't expect much but French from the boss...
