Sous L'Pont — Restaurant in Lorient

Food was very disappointing. "Caesar salad" was not even close to a true Caesar and was bland filled w red cabbage and tasteless chicken breast chunks, instead of croutons there were tiny bread sticks . The beef tartare came buried under a pile of similar salad and seemed to be only chopped beef with no seasoning. Blah. The monkfish was covered in a too strong mustard sauce that overpowered the delicate fish. Raw oysters were the only redeeming thing. Be warned you need to walk a bit over uneven pavement to get here. They have a nice waterside...

Everything was just spot on. The food is great, atmosphere is fantastic and service was excellent. Had the please to start with a tomato tatin with burata and a brilliant pesto sauce, just fresh and tasty. Mussels of course with curry and as you are in britany, ended with a salted caramel fluffy rice pudding. service désordonné, et très décevant! nous commandons les plats du menu, sans faire aucune demande fantasque ( il y a 3 entrées, 3 plats et 3 desserts au choix donc pas hyper compliqué à mémoriser). au bout d'1 h, on avait juste reçu l'amuse-gueule et nos boissons, je précise il y avait juste 10 tables à gérer , toutes en extérieur. Après avoir demandés ce qui se passait, la serveuse nous indique qu'elle a fait un rappel en cuisine . 20 minutes plus tard toujours rien... la "patronne" arrive, en s'excusant à peine, je lui demande poliment si nous pouvions avoir au moins des olives ou qqch en attendant ( nous commencions à perdre patience) ... 15 minutes plus tard toujours rien, mon mari retourne à l'intérieur demander ce qui se passe, la patronne lui répond "désolée je n'ai pas d'olives" !!!! incroyable, nous sommes donc partis sans rien dire au bout d'1h30 en payant nos boissons, aucune excuse de la part de qui que ce soit, personne n'essaie de nous retenir, ou de nous dédommager... ça m'apprendra à ne pas faire d'esclandre! nous sommes allés à la crêperie d'en face ( crêperie du Pont Lorois) , où nous avons été très bien reçus et avons pu manger en 20 minutes.
