Not in line with what you would expect from the reviews. It was frog evening, I don't see myself eating frog so I went with the Entrecote. I ordered "á point" but I got one side half grilled and the other black charred. Put it aside and when the hostess came to pick up the plate I tried to explain I didn't want a second piece but she insisted and brougt a much better piece indeed. I still don't understand how the first one made it to any table. We ordered an "aperitif", turned out to be blue bubbles in a small glass. If you are in Clessé and looking for a local restaurant serving honest family type food, l'Auberge des Chasseurs ticks all the boxes. Easy to access and with a free parking next door, you can chill out at the 'terrasse' while waiting to be served. Staff very friendly and looking after your needs and special requests. The menu 'A la Carte' is displayed on the black board, up to you then to select what suits you most. We went for the 'Pintade Forestière' with 'Ratatouille', nicely presented on a delicious mushroom creamy sauce. Salad: had a mix of lettuce that literally tasted like it had just been picked from the garden. The salad was topped with cherry tomatoes, corn, and pumpkin seeds.

Lamb shank: was fall off the bone in a beautiful sauce and served with mushrooms in a cream sauce.

Roast chicken: was super moist in a delicious sauce served with flageolet beans!

Dessert du jour: chose the apricot mousse cake with an espresso.

Ambiance: Charming, beautiful & clean with cute decor. There is a terrace but it was raining.
