Déception, plat à 24 euros passé au micro-ondes

Le filet de boeuf avec les frites maison, tout de même l'un des plus onéreux de la carte, est arrivé froid. Bon, ce genre de choses peut arriver, nous demandons donc à ce qu'il soit réchauffé. Quand le plat revient, il a réduit de volume significativement (moitié moins de frites et plus petit morceau de viande), et il est toujours froid. Nous le signalons à nouveau. Quand le plat revient pour la troisième fois, nous n'en croyons pas nos yeux. Passé au micro-ondes, avec évidement de la nourriture ramollie et infecte. Nous voulions présenter à notre ami étranger la gastronomie à la française, il a fini sa soirée par picorer - bien après tout le monde - un plat semi tiède réchauffé au micro-ondes, ne voulant pas incommder le reste de la tablée en refusant le plat/quittant le restaurant. Je ne parle même pas du service lent quand pas inexistant (le panier de pain qui n'arrive pas, ou encore les carafes d'eau qu'on a fini par aller chercher nous même). Nous étions une grosse tablée et ce n'est franchement pas le traitement ni la nourriture que nous attendons lorsque l'addition grimpe à trois chiffres. Très déçus et le sentiment d'avoir jeté notre argent par la fenêtre. Disappointment, 24 euros dish microwaved

The beef fillet with "home made" chips, one of the most expensive of the menu, arrived cold. We appreciate that this kind of things can happen sometimes, so we asked if it's possible to heat it. The dish came back clearly shrunk (half the chips left and a smaller bit of meat), and still cold... We let the waiter know. But when the dish came back for the third time, we couldn't believe it; it had been shoved in a microwaved, thus left the food in a disgusting soggy state. We wanted to introduce a dear foreign friend to French gastronomy, and he ended up his night eating - well after everyone else - a semi cold dish that had been microwaved, as he was not willing to make a fuss and incommode the rest of the group by refusing the dish and leaving the restaurant. I don't even talk about the slow (when not nonexistent) service - the bread basket was nowhere to be seen (in France, they come free at the beginning of the meal), and worse, the jug of water would just not come even when asked. We ended up having to get it by ourselves. We were quite a big group of people and this is clearly not the treatment (nor the food) you could expect when the note comes up to three digits. Deeply disappointed and the feeling that we wasted a serious...

The food was great but the service even better! I wish I caught our server's name... Between my broken French and his broken English we had a fantastic meal.. so much so we even tipped, though it's not the custom in France. And this was after my husband's gnocchi was somehow cold within the boiling sauce. We flagged our server down and he took care of it with such grace and cheer, returning with a perfect dish. The ambiance was lovely (though we would suggest warmer toned light bulbs!) and for these weary travelers/parents of tiny children, sharing some humor and humility with our restaurant server is an unexpected but very welcome experience! Fort de la lecture des bons avis précédents, nous y avons pris un déjeuner familial ce dimanche mais... franchement ?... Le site est superbe, le jeune serveuse se tapait royalement de ses clients et le montrait dans son attitude générale (pas d'accueil "welcome", pas de sourire minimum, parle sans regarder ses interlocuteurs, ne préconise rien...bref le remède contre le commerce...) mais le jeune homme, lui, semblait bien plus sérieux. Beaucoup de choix (trop ?) entre une carte, un tableau et les suggestions du jour. Salade de poulpes, de légumes, pâtes au basilic et escabech de rougets composaient notre repas. Tout était fadasse, sans goût, même pas beau... Que répondre au sempiternel "Ca a était ?"... Rien ! Peur que ce soit perçu comme une agression... Serions-nous les seuls à avoir des papilles un minima exigeantes ? Allez ! On paye 100 € pour 3 et on s'enfuit en se jurant que l'on ne nous y reprendra plus à lire ces commentaires bien trop enjoliveurs...
