Recommended by friends we ventured to this restaurant in Risqué (Risk) in a lovely part of the Gers region surrounded by acres of vineyards… yum. The proprietors are Dutch and speak French and English so if your schoolboy French has worn you out you can relax a little. The setting is fine on one of the busy roads through Risqué but the traffic noise was hardly noticeable. The inside was cosy with around 50 covers but for sure in the summer more seats would be available outside. On a week day you are offered a 3 course menu with two choices of each course I believe there is an a la carte Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes with a more extensive choice. Having said that the plat de jour suited us fine with simple but well executed dishes typical of rural France but with a bit more finesse. So with a very nice ambiance super friendly service and tasty food why not drop in I highly recommend it if you are in the area....

For a €14 lunch it's the best...
