Probably the first ever negative review I have written in my life. We arrived as a party of four at the restaurant on a Monday at 12:40 (it closes at 14). Despite the availability of a table and another table that was about to be emptied, when we sat down we were very rudely told we had to leave and that even moving to another table would not be satisfactory for them.
I understand a restaurant in a small village may have limited availability or options, but that is no excuse for the proprietor to come storming out, yell at us (including my elderly parents!) and make us get up immediately—only to then give the table to a party of two! I am deeply disappointed and unfortunately this experience may have colored the rest of my opinion of what would be an otherwise spectacular village to visit. The best advice I can give is reserve here months in advance, walk-ins are certainly not welcome even when there are ample...
