Auberge Caule — Restaurant in Mont-de-Marsan

We stayed here while doing the Camino. It's a small town so not much choice of accommodation however our room was very clean and spacious. We had the room at the front of the building and were worried about the noise of traffic but it calmed down. You can eat dinner by arrangement - serviceable in a town with limited options - and breakfast can be included. Worth noting - the shop over the road has a good selection of food - they have bread. The auberge is open all day - it seems - and they have a bar with seating outside and inside so you don't have to be confined...

Nous avons dîné à 12 jeudi 21 août. Dîner traditionnel où nos parents invitent leurs 5 enfants et conjoints pour célébrer l’été landais. qui s’achève. C’était la première fois que nous allions à Onesse. Je pense qu’on y retournera. Cela fait tellement longtemps que nous cherchions à retrouver un restaurant authentique simple chaleureux et bon. Nous avons passé un très bon moment et à 12 nous avons pu balayer tous les plats proposés sur l’ardoise. Un sans faute. Petite Reco sur le vin, et c’était de circonstance, la cuvée « frangin frangine », un côte de Gascogne décliné sous toutes les couleurs (rouge blanc rose moelleux …). Le service et l’accueil au top.
