EXEPTIONAL!!! I can safely say that if I lived next to this restaurant I would become obese within a month! It really is just that good. I passed through it while I was driving through france with my family, and I have never been this suprised by a restaurant.
This restaurant proposes a 15€ menu. Initially I thought the portions would be slim which justified the price. I was extremely pleased to find that they were not. Instead, for 15€ a localy produced full coursed meal which will leave you full and satisfied, including cup of whine and a tea/coffee.
I honestly cannot believe this restaurant, the sheer quality to price ratio is absolutely unmatched by anything I have ever seen in my life, and if I didnt know any better, I would say it is a money laundering scheme.
This place deserves a michelin star! I highly recommend stopping by, and the chery on top is an extremely polite and welcoming owner who shows clear passion...
Read moreI think the two-star review on this page is a bit silly. It's not very fair to mark somebody down because you happened to arrive on the one night they don't serve the normal menu. I didn't want pizza on Friday either but the poor chef is entitled to a day off! Also the pizza night is very popular with locals, it was packed. The restaurant opposite is also run by nice people but the food is very rich - foie gras and cream type stuff - which is not to my taste. Come to the Le Lichou any meal time other than Friday evening and you can have a great omelette aux girolles, a nice sharply dressed fresh salad, Pascale's lovely home made tarte of the day, among other delicious perfectly cooked traditional French goodies. The coffee at breakfast is surely among the best in France, where hotel coffee standards are sadly slipping due to the near-ubiquitous pod machines....
