We splashed out on a joint birthday for our son and my Dad. Venue. Was ok. Looks good, wouldn't want to be there in summer with all the mosquitoes though. However that was fine. So it's a special occasion the girls decided on a Kia royal cocktail..... Well they would have. But instead they ended up in my lap. Thankfully no broken glass(phew given the target zone). Oh well. It's not my day. It's about the eldest and youngest. So with a damp if not wringing crutch I sit and get through. Starter. Yeah not bad. Not sufficient for the five of us. But nice tasty and very well presented. Ordered a very nice 2018 Bergerac to go for everyone. (Scoop forward a bit, once we had finished this, ordered a second bottle as it was very good and had a gold label. The second bottle was very swiftly opened and plonked down. Only after a few sips. Did we realise this was the same vineyard but the 2021. Yuck. Not a patch on what we'd asked for. ). Perhaps my fault. I should have been more assertive. However shrug it off. Mains, very good food, just dry. Me not the food. Dessert. Dreamy to be fair. Fantastic.

Waited an age to ask for coffee. Price was an shock to be honest. I've eaten in Michelin restaurants before and expect a sizable bill, this took my breath away. Anyway. All done dried out. Thanks. But never again. There are some fabulous places nearby for camping and eating. I'd recommend do your research. ...

We went with friends for lunch today & were disappointed. At the outset we were told we couldn't order any food off the main menu, only from the set menu for the day & on that only the beef was available in the choice of the 2 main courses. Maybe the chef was having an off day, because the food was average at best. There are many more restaurants locally where the food is much better. Whilst the view of the lake is nice, it doesn't make up for average food, chaotic service (although the servers were friendly) and having to repeatedly ask for things that we'd ordered. Superbe lieu, nous avions réservé ce restaurant pour manger sur l'eau malheureusement nous avons mangé à l'intérieur car la météo n'était pas certaine. Le charme du restaurant est perdu a l'intérieur. Nous avons trouvé la cuisine bonne mais sans plus, donc un peu honéreux si on a pas la vue du lac. Mon mari qui n'aime pas la purée dans le plat qu'il a pris, voulait des frites à la place. Cela n'a pas été possible de remplacer la purée par des frites, nous avons du prendre un supplément frites (et donc la purée a été jetée, dommage pour le gachi). Le vin servi n'est pas celui qui avait été commandé. Donc au global un peu déçus de ce restaurant. Peut être expérience à renouveler en faisant l'expérience au...
