Au Petit Pot du Mineur — Restaurant in Montreuil-sur-Mer

We were staying in Berck for a couple of nights before heading back to the UK. Berck in itself is worth a visit, even if its just to see the seal colony. Our accommodation owner suggested the restaurant to us. It's got a great history. We hadn't booked, there were 5 of us and they managed to put a table together in their really busy restaurant. I really wanted to have muscles being so close to the sea. I was NOT disappointed. I had a set menu for around €18, this included a starter main and desert. All the dishes were excellent. Had lunch here only! Brilliant food and service! Appreciated everything and no complaints at all. Real French food away from the tourist front! Had good laugh at the poor people eating in very poor establishments on the front later!!! Our waiter was excellent and very friendly too. Very popular with the locals so good sign. Traditional French food, what we hoped to find! Speak Fench! Helps with everything if you can! Hotel across the road I think but just here for the day. Berck is very pleasant, too. J'y suis allé manger ce samedi dernier le soir des moules . Quelle DÉCEPTION ? J'ai eu des PETITES moules a manger , vraiment PETITES . C'est la première fois que je vois ça ! On ne devrait pas avoir le droit de cueillir des moules aussi petites mais aussi , le patron devrait avoir honte de les commercialiser . C'est un scandale ! Je l'ai fait remarquer quand j'ai été payer , j'ai eu comme réponses : ce n'est pas nous qui allons les cueillir et aussi , ce n'est pas de la bouchot . Quelles réponses ? 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Comment voulez-vous que le cheptel se renouvelle ? C'est de la destruction massive . J'avais réservé pour le lendemain , pour manger de la joue de boeuf . J'ai ANNULÉ . Si la joue de boeuf et le reste qui est servi dans ce restaurant sont aussi petit que les moules C'est triste ! Pas Cher , je ne dirais pas ça . Je dirais accessible !
