We had a lovely family lunch party in a private room. Everything was just perfect. The owners were so helpful and so understanding of our being nearly an hour late. A mistake with the hour time difference! The children were offered a delicious chicken with potatoes or pasta dish, which they wolfed down. The menu was a special one, for Mothers’ Day, and it was truly difficult to make our choices. The ceviche starter, the pepper sauce on the fillet steak, the salmon and sorrel cream, the layered potato….. all truly delicious. We would not find fault with anything. To finish I had a strawberry, rose wine soup which I will try to recreate at home! This is a typically French restaurant, situated in the countryside, among fields. The decor is tasteful and sophisticated. The garden too is delightful. I can imagine that lunch in the garden on a sunny day would be a treat. Mon expérience à l'Auberge du Cronquelet à St Aubin a été absolument merveilleuse. Dès que je suis entré, j'ai été accueilli par une atmosphère chaleureuse et conviviale. L'endroit dégage un charme rustique et authentique qui vous fait sentir comme chez vous dès le premier instant.

Le personnel était exceptionnellement attentif et courtois. Nous nous sommes installés dans une ambiance détendue et avons été immédiatement impressionnés par la variété et la qualité des plats proposés.

Et parlons de la nourriture - c'était tout simplement délicieux. Chaque plat était magnifiquement présenté et avait une explosion de saveurs en bouche. J'ai particulièrement apprécié les plats d'antan, qui mettent en valeur les produits frais de la région. Les portions étaient généreuses sans être excessives.
