La Bergerie — Restaurant in Nîmes

We had dinner at the tapas part of the restaurant. Nice setting, cool terrace. We were recommended to order 3 tapas pp. After a waiting period of 40-45 minutes the (warm and cold) dishes were served all at once. Most importantly: the food was really good! However. we noticed the chef was working really really hard and since we would have preferred to receive the food as at least 2 different servings (tapas are almost never served all at once) I thought the chef would be much more relaxed if he would not have to serve all the food for each table at once.. That would please all parties I guess? It was hard to eat so many dishes at once.. we were completely satisfied after 4 plates and were in a hurry to finish the warm food and getting no flies on the cold fish dishes (35c here) in the meantime.!Nobody asked us anything after we initially ordered, not if we liked the dinner, not if we wanted anything’s else.. hence my comments as a review. Wunderful french kitchen and super friendly service and a chef that makes his guests feel confortable and happy.

I accidentally ordered veal kidney as I did not properly translated the menue myself. The kidney was perfectly prepared though I could not eat it, because I don't like kidney. The chef offered me to bring a new dish instead and I enjoy a wonderfully prepared tuna on his own costs.

Aujourd'hui, nous avons eu la chance de déjeuner à quatre à La Bergerie, charmant restaurant de cuisine française, et ce fut une expérience tout simplement délicieuse et inoubliable.

Dès notre entrée, nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par le personnel, qui a manifesté un véritable sens de l'hospitalité. Le service était impeccable tout au long du repas, avec des serveurs attentifs, souriants et désireux de nous offrir une expérience agréable. Leur connaissance des plats et leur capacité à nous guider dans nos choix ont rendu notre déjeuner encore plus agréable.

Quant à la cuisine, elle était tout simplement exceptionnelle ! Chaque plat était une explosion de saveurs, mettant en valeur les délices de la gastronomie française. Des entrées aux desserts, tout était préparé avec finesse et créativité. Nous avons particulièrement adoré le tartare de thon à l'avocat, le médaillon de foie gras, le poisson du jour qui était le perroquet et les rognons de veau sauce moutarde.

De plus, l'ambiance du restaurant était charmante, avec une décoration élégante et une atmosphère conviviale. Nous nous sommes sentis à l'aise tout au long du repas, ce qui a contribué à rendre ce moment encore plus mémorable.
