Les Roses Blanches — Restaurant in Nîmes

We visited here half a week ago on a wednesday. The location right next to and in an old church was beautiful and very comfortable. There were still some seats available but it felt pretty full for a wednesday, which we appreciated a lot: The restaurant does good business because it is absolutely excellent.

They easily accommodated our wish of having an extra course of entrees, which is well worth doing. Everything we ate was great, absolutely excellent or better.

The service was attentive and fun and the wine menu was both extensive and tasted great.

If I were to nitpick, I could complain about them having only 2 bottles of the wine we chose for dinner, but honestly, who would expect a table of 7 people trying to make an honest dent in your cellar. Every other wine they recommended to us to fill the whole after those initial 2 bottles was also excellent and nice to try.

For desert, I would heavily recommend the cheesecake. Unless we're also having dinner there, then please leave some for us. The combination of fruit, pistachio and cream was absolutely excellent. The chocolate with whisky was also tasty, but I'd recommend having a coffee...

Wonderful place with both indoors and outdoors seating in what seems to be an old church; quite spectacular! The outdoor seating has a very cozy ambiance in the evening. We were seated inside which was also lovely but a little too bright for an evening meal. The food was very good, well presented but somewhat bland to my taste. Les assiettes, parfaitement abouties, On y célèbre la vérité du produit, puisque vous nous faite goûter les ingrédients du terroir et des producteurs locaux et les vins sont parfaitement choisis dans cette région propice aux crus exceptionnels.
