XL Café Restaurant — Restaurant in Nîmes

We stayed at this village for the 1st leg of our summer holidays. The cafe is just your regular village hang out. What makes it special is the staff/people who work here. Despite not knowing the language they made sure that we were looked after. Although, we had arrived at the cafe after lunch time (long drive), they prepared a hearty meal for us. The staff gave us local info about the village and made sure we were made to feel at ease.

So yeah, if you decide to come to these parts, do visit this cafe, be it for lunch or just a drink. It's friendly, rustic, not heavy on the pocket and a great experience overall...defo...

What a lovely welcoming place!

We arrived after a long drive with a hungry 8 year old. The bar told us that we could get a pizza from the take away next door and eat it whilst enjoying a drink.

We subsequently returned to the bar and were told what activities were taking place in the village and when. Without asking, they reserved a table for us in the shade, on a night when a number of food trucks hosted and event completed with a band.

Client regulier au dejeuner. Ambiance detendue mais pro avec par une equipe jeune et dynamique et un patron qui maitrise le sujet. Clientele diversifiée avec beaucoup d' habitués et de passage. Du choix dans les menus qui restent courts mais assurés , simple mais bon et cuisiné. J' ai l habitude de dire que c'est toujours trop cher quand ce n est pas bon et au XL on en a pour son argent et en toute sincérité il n'y a pas d equivalent aux alentours. Differentes formules avec un menu complet café aux alentours de 15€. Vins qualitatifs locaux et une belle terrasse...
