Nothing special .Limited menu. Was promised that the steak was tender .... it was typically tough French steak. Disappointed. Charming staff though , nice wine at a reasonable price. Would not return and would not recommend to others. After the original posting of these comments I received a rather cheeky and rude reply from the owner, trying to deflect from his poor quality steak. He said "what do you expect, it is meant to be cooked blue, not well done. Next time listen to the advice of the staff" Typical french customer service ... the customer is always wrong! Indeed, I did listen to the advice of the staff and they promised a tender steak. We ordered à point ,not well done and the steak was like leather. If you decide to go to this restaurant, please do not complain! The owner cannot...

Un petit restaurant dans une ancienne grange à l'orée d'un village typique des Corbières. La bonne nourriture, le service très sympathique et le grand confort vous incitent à revenir... mais uniquement sur réservation ! Et le patron est une hôtesse très charmante.

Addendum mi-octobre 2023 après une autre visite !

"C'est comme rentrer à la maison !"

Une patronne très sympathique, heureuse de discuter avec vous, vous expliquera à table ce qui est au menu du jour. Elle vous explique les vins et vous fournit avec attention tout ce dont vous avez besoin pendant environ 1h30 à 2h. Les menus sont imaginatifs, créatifs et savoureux... tout simplement bons. Dans la chambre d'hôtes rustique, jamais surpeuplée, située dans une grange, décorée avec amour et cœur, on se sent tout simplement à l'aise.

Et vous pensez déjà à la prochaine fois où vous pourrez à nouveau vous sentir « maman » pendant un court instant. Merci et bonnes vacances ! Ein kleines Restaurant in einer alten Scheune am Ortsausgang eines typischen Dorfes in den Corbieres. Tolles Essen, sehr freundliche Bedienung und eine große Gemütlichkeit verleiten zum Wiederkommen ... aber nur mit Reservierung! Und die Chefin ist eine sehr liebenswerte Gastgeberin.

Eine sehr freundliche Wirtin, die auch gerne mit Dir plaudert, erklärt Dir amTisch, was heute auf der Speisekarte steht. Sie erklärt Dir die Weine und versorgt Dich in den ca. 1,5 bis 2 Stunden aufmerksam mit allem, was Du brauchst. Die Menus sind ideenreich, kreativ und schmecken....einfach gut.

Im rustikalen, nie überfüllten Gastraum in einer Scheune, mit Liebe und Herz dekoriert, fühlt man sich einfach /wohl. Und denkt dabei schon an das nächste Mal, wenn man sich wieder für eine kurze Weile wie bei "Mama" fühlen darf.

Good restaurants don't need big marketing. On the so-called "bonnes adresses", clients can hit them themselves. You will quickly learn about great restaurants with quality food and nice staff. That's why today I'm publishing great restaurant in the village called LA CAVE D'AGNÈS, where I would immediately return and order today's menu again. And with great joy.
