I've been fortunate to be able to visit some really nice restaurants in my lifetime. I'm 53. It's very hard to be impressed anymore by the service or the food. Le Fonetic is at the top of my list in both. Very hard to beat the food and the service at any price. I had the Seabass, ratatouille and risoto. Other people in my party ordered the duck and potatoes as well as filet de boeuf and potatoes. We also had foie gras, frog legs and a meat tray. Don't remember the wine but it was well paired.
The portions were bigger than expected, even when compared with Texas restaurants. The food was fresh. The meat tasted like it was running around the day before. Unbelievable duck meat, I ate half of my wife's. The staff worked as hard as any I've seen. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Can't think of a restaurant in Houston that...
Read moreWe visited Le Fonetic just a few days ago during our stay in Nice. We were searching for a restaurant with local food and amicable ambiente and like that, we came across Le Fonetic on Google.
To keep it short, the restaurant exceeded our expectations - very cool design inside, menus in the form of comic books and very attentive owners :) food was incredible, portions were big, we couldn´t even fit a dessert because we were full (that is of course very sad) , but instead , we got a grappa ! We were very happy with everything and didn´t want to leave..
The same evening there was a family celebration of an event, we could also see that they felt like home at Le Fonetic and that´s what you feel there - just like at home.
1000000000000% recommended, please go there if you happen to be in Nice!
Thank you for our...
Read moreAn indescribable experience! It's rare that I feel so completely satisfied with every aspect of a restaurant, but dinner at 'Le Fonetic' is definitely one of those occasions. Starting with the incredibly good value for money, the portions are large and of top-notch quality. You'll leave with a fuller belly, satisfied with both the entrée and main course. The "extraordinary" tartare was a true delight for the palate, as was the beef fillet, the fish on a bed of risotto, the mini dessert selection, or probably just about anything on the menu. The friendliness of the staff and the restaurant's ambiance are also noteworthy. The decor is slightly playful, aiming at a healthy sense of humor. They even offered brotherly help in finding a parking spot. All in all, a top-notch experience and a true...
