Sarl Bar Des Ailes — Restaurant in Niort

This has to be the worst food I've ever eaten in France. A cold buffet of an array of strange looking dishes of slop, plus some cooked meat and fresh melon. The chicken main course was like compressed tinned chicken, which we used to reluctantly eat back in the 1970s, served in some strange tasting sauce, awash in a sea of green bean cooking water

Talking of which, the green beans were flat, which would've been fine, however, they were cooked to the point of removing all nutrients and the colour of a well stewed cow turd. The O.H had fillet de lingue, (ling), which was cooked OK, but only nuked by the ping chef to the point of being luke warm and served still full of bones, with a pink sauce, but with macaroni pasta on the side and a handful of grared cheese thrown on top.

The best bit about this meal was walking out of the door, which we should've done the minute we saw the unappealing bowls of slop on the buffet.

I honestly have never paid for worse food than this, it was truly horrible and I think this meal will be revisiting me before I get home, it was ghastly....

De passage lors de notre départ pour les vacances, nous sommes sortis à Niort pour nous restaurer et je dois avouer que nous n'avons pas été déçus, loin de là. Un accueil très convivial, un personnel disponible et souriant qui nous ont accueilli avec notre petit chihuaha. Un repas complet pour 15€ par personne, café en sus. Que demander de plus... Le repas était parfait et j'ai beaucoup apprécié les rognons, cuits comme il le fallait, tout etait parfait. E service a ete rapide. Un grand parking pour se garer. J'adore venir manger chez vous, avec ma maman quand je suis de passage à Niort, pour moi qui suis aussi cuisinier,je trouve cette endroit autantique comme ça devient rare de trouver un restaurant qui prépare encore des entrées,plats, fromage de qualités, et sans oublier les desserts avec carafe de vin au choix pour un petit prix de 15€ vraiment pour mes respects au chef de cuisine et aux personnels de cette établissement.
