Buffalo Grill Nogent-le-Rotrou — Restaurant in Nogent-le-Rotrou

Where to begin with everything that is horrible about this place. I usually have at least one positive thing to say about a business but as much as I thought about our experience tonight I couldn’t possibly say one positive thing. Let’s start with our seating. We walked in at about 6:20on a Tuesday evening which, according to their website,indicated we entered 20 minutes after they opened for the evening. There was no one at the entrance to greet us. In fact, we could see only one young man who appeared flustered that we had the nerve to come into their restaurant. He finally acknowledged us and indicated he would find someone to seat us. After a couple minutes he agreed to seat us and told us someone would come to wait onus in about 5-10 minutes. 20 minutes later a young lady brought us menus, but only after I started staring at her. At this point there were no other guests in the restaurant. I indicated we would like the barbecued chicken. She said they don’t have that. Thus, I asked her to show us on their menu what they did have which she did. We ordered the grilled chicken and baked potato. When she brought out the grilled chicken I turned them over and they were both burned black. I asked her to take them back and bring us out some chicken that wasn’t burned. Another young lady, who spoke more English, brought the burned chicken breast back out and told me that is how they are normally cooked. What was interesting was that the burned side of the chicken had been turned under so that we wouldn’t notice it when they were originally brought out. Do we look like complete fools. We refused them and asked to replace them with hamburgers, which they did. I indicated we would like them cooked medium well, which means no pink inside the burger. The burgers came out close to “tartare” which is almost raw. I gave up asking them to cook them properly. Apparently whoever is cooking never worked as a cook before as he obviously doesn’t know what he is doing. Unless you want to risk food poisoning from improperly cooked meat I would steer clear of this place. The service is horrible, the staff is more interested in having fun in the back of the kitchen, the food is intolerable and the building shows signs of wear and tear indicating the owners have no pride in operating their business. And oh,by the way, their baked potato is about the size of a golf ball. I didn’t know you could get potatoes that small....

Service: It was non existent. Table didn’t have any salt or pepper. We ordered bottled water and asked to be delivered right away as our kid was thirsty but had to wait 10 mins. With the entrecôte I ordered a sauce which the waiter told us would be coming soon but never arrived. I had to take the salt from the side table and the waiter was no where to be found.

I don’t know if this is a people or infrastructure problem. This chain of restaurants have personal booths and maybe the waiters cannot see all of us so we get very little attention.

FOOD: The starting complimentary salad was as expected good. The bread was warm and tasty. For the main course we ordered 2 entrecôte and one of them was just burned on one side.

There is this weird obsession of having grill marks on a nice piece of steak like entrecôte and in this process the steak is never properly cooked.

Service incompétent, très déçu ne mérite pas le nom de l’enseigne. Ayant réservé pour 20h Nous sommes arrivés à table. Nous avons tout de suite eux nos salades en même temps que le serveur Alexis prenne notre commande pour l’apéritif. Nous avons fini nos salades, puis on nous ramène trois cafés soi-disant offert alors qu’après une salade je ne vois pas où à lieu un café. 20h30 toujours pas de boisson, je me déplace pour savoir où en était ma commande, serveuse Emma me dit qu’elle n’a pas eu ma commande et quelle n’était pas au courant des 3 cafés offerts et que je devais voir avec le serveur Alexis, mais ce serveur n’était pas en salle. 20h45 je vois que personne veux s’occuper de nous, nous avons demander un responsable mais personne est venu. 5min après nous recevons enfin notre apéritif. 21h35 nos plat arrivent. Les tasses de cafés toujours sur la table. 22h30 nous finissons nous nous dirigeons pour régler, Serveuse Emma nous demande comment nous réglons, à aucun moment elle nous demande si ça c’est bien passé. Comme quoi elle savait que leurs services était déplorable! Aucun sourire aucune amabilité, comme nous n’avons pas pu parler au responsable j’espère avoir une réponse, savoir si ce service a été fait exprès vu que mon amie a eu une relation avec l’un des serveurs présent ? Même si celui-ci ne s’occuper pas de notre table. Je trouve ça inadmissible et nous ne reviendrons plus. Bon courage au prochain clients car nous étions pas les seuls à être déçu dans la salle ce soir....
