We won a 3 course meal with house wine and decided to celebrate my husband's birthday at Les CLuzeaux. I rang ahead and explained that I don't eat meat or fish and was assured of a vegetarian surprise on the night. Well, it was no surprise, nothing had been prepared for me but I was offered the cereal bowl of pasta with truffle grated on top, and the chef kindly removed the ham which was the main part of the 'real dish'. To do this took him a little extra time so I waited several minutes whilst our friends started their meals.I didn't complain so as not to spoil the evening further. Had lunch on Easter Sunday. Great welcome and ambience, food very good, and I have never seen anybody work so hard in a restaurant.
