L’accueil est très chaleureux et le personnel super sympathique, ce qui met immédiatement à l’aise. Malheureusement, côté assiette, l’expérience ne m’a pas pleinement convaincue. Un point m’a particulièrement déçue : le fait que les accompagnements soient en supplément. En France, il est assez naturel qu’un plat commandé au restaurant soit servi avec un accompagnement inclus, cela fait partie de notre culture gastronomique. Ici, non seulement il fallait ajouter un supplément, mais la portion servie était extrêmement réduite : quatre petits morceaux de pomme de terre pour 3,50 €… ce qui revient cher la bouchée.Autre déception, la sauce au piment d’Espelette : elle avait un goût dominant de coriandre qui rappelait plus une sauce pour chili con carne qu’une préparation mettant en valeur le piment basque. Friendly welcome and service in English. Split a dish over two plates for us. Good, simple food well cooked. Much better value than some more «  established » places in Navarrenx which insist on reservations despite not being busy....
