Deano's bar & grill — Restaurant in Parthenay

We took takeaway pizzas and fried fish and chips for 4 people, paid more than sixty Euros in total for it.

Sadly the high price couldn't justify the low quality, frozen ready-made pizza bases being topped in house amateurishly, resulting in disappointing pizzas.

The experience didn't improve for the fish and chips. The fish size was similar to a box of cigarettes, very small, over cooked to a dark brown color, certainly cooked from frozen together with the fries it came with resulting fries tasting more fishy than the actual fish itself. No seasoning on it, no lemon or vinegar, sadly very bland food.

Unless you are looking for frozen fries or a pizza, there is no reason to be here. The service was very slow. We waited 10 minutes between the first and the last drink at our table of 6. When we asked what they did serve, he didnt even know the chart. The place was okay, the service was bad, the food looked like it came from the fridge of the supermarket. In top of that, it was pretty expensive. 14,50 for a plate of chips with deepfried white fish (was probably not even properly fried)....

The menu is indeed simple, but that was exactly why we went there. Really good cooked food, a diverse selection of meals, no circles of soy sauce on a plate with a small piece of meat and some green leaves, but a proper steak, fried exactly as requested.
