A must for anybody visiting Canet or nearby. Great atmosphere. Traditional cuisine. Family friendly. The highest quality hospitality and service.
We visited with our 2 year old and were a bit apprehensive about bringing him into a nice, traditional restaurant after a holiday of "cheap and cheerful" family restaurants. Immediately we were put at ease by the gracious host, and the hostess took our toddler to turn on the train which goes around the room. Everybody was accommodating, communicative and friendly from the moment we entered.
The food is a full experience, not just a meal. It takes you out of your ordinary day and into the Catalan soul.

There's an attractive covered terrace, but as it was hot out there we decided to go indoors.
What a shock!
The décor was clearly designed by a mad bullfighting fan. The front half of a bull reared from one wall, its hindquarters disappeared into another wall. Flags, memorabilia, posters, a false balcony - the place was amazing.
The service was friendly and efficient, the choice good, the food (as declared by a Spanish Catalan who was dining with us) was typical and well cooked. Not fine dining, but an enjoyable evening.

Read moreThis Catalonian restaurant is one of our favourite, it offers all from great fun atmosphere, intriguing decor, friendly quick table service, wide excellent food choices, quality food & drinks and a the place has unique character! We visit every year ( at least) and never disappointed. The only down side is limited parking ( especially if you visit due the season peak) but there is nothing they can do about this since its in the centre of old town so expect to park further away and walk your way back. I cant recommend this restaurant enough and always look forward to...
